^^ Sometimes I get the feeling that Beck does that even in the studio.
Yeah, I never quite got the humour in this episode, and the plot was weak. Maybe it was supposed to be gloriously random, just like Beck. Still, the "You, minion, raise my arm" joke cracked me up

It makes me feel sad. I'm surprised that Leela turned to Zoidberg for advice instead of Amy--Girl talk and since Amy dated Fry--but Zoidberg's response was funny. I never figured that out it's kinda odd. I love how Zoidberg cries because he's lonley then bounces back and is like "What were you saying?" Why would Bender be in position to have Fry's jet melt his face? It looked like he was trying to stare at Fry's ass. Possibly some pictures for extortion. I don't know. Bender tends to do odd things. Bender was floating around gathering chronitons in his mouth so he might just have gotten careless and got too close to Fry's jet pack. Zoidberg: He looks radiant! That's so random. Also this epsiode has one of my favorite things to say in everyday conversations. "Too late hot plate." It's fun to say.

Love this one! I wish they kept in the deleted scenes. Zoidberg: Do you love me? Leela: No! *Zoidberg stares at her, then turns on TV* Originally posted by fryfanSpyOrama: Why would Bender be in position to have Fry's jet melt his face? It looked like he was trying to stare at Fry's ass. WHOOOO!

I love how the basketball spins on the professor's head for like five minutes. I also like how the professor's evil works (ie: the atomic mutants and the doomsday devices) are not only shown for the first time but are also part of the episode. I always think they never enough of the professor's mad scientist side.

Could you blame her, after Fry's clumsy attempts at fooling her (like the time-proof shelter?) Also, remember this episode is pre- Leela's Homeworld, so she still believes that everyone who was close abandoned her. Originally posted by SonicPanther: WHOOOO! Ah, good one for the shippy thread! And yeah, the deleted scenes are hilarious! This episode his heavy on costume changes for Leela - in the park (very feminine), at the game (wow!) and the wedding (yowza!) I liked the science-fictiony music when the Globetrotters land. "Your face can take a lot of punishment, that's good to know" - is Leela into BDSM now?

They are all named in the commentary.
IDAR has the best beginning in the series. From every good episode of the Twilight Zone compresed intp thirty seconds to the giant ball of light. Or my personal favorite:
Leela: "Hey, you know what might be a hoot?" Farnsworth: "No. Why would I know that?" Leela: "Let's take the rest of the morning off and take Fry to do everything he ever wanted to do." Fry: (sexfully) "Everything?" Leela: "Except that."
That one always has me laughing my ass off. Just the way she says it is perfect.

"These new hands are great, I'm going to break them in tonight"... naughty naughty naughty!!!
Nice little detail - Liu-bot's pupils are square. Monroe-bot's corpse-gray skin is kinda creepy...

Mediocre, but far from the worst, even though I hated the ending. Jesus people, you think the end of Time Keeps On Slippin' is despressing? The message at the end of this episode is "Leela really sucks and completely failed, and everyone knows it. But that's okay. Sometimes it's good to suck!" QWhat the hell?!
