Sunday March 24th! Be there! (March, told ya! DVD Review sees all and knows all... although I'm not on Review any more, but am the new editor of Hotdog magazine!)

The bad news - it's on at 7pm. Hence, Sky will be getting out their scissors to remove any naughty words and references to masturbation...

An obvious question, seeing as Sky isn't allowed to show episaodes that haven't been aired in the States, is how many weeks it'll run...

YES! At last I have a date, pity it's so far into the month but at least I have a date. I hope it will be on weekly because The Simpsons are about 1 every 3 weeks.

Are there many naughty words and references to masturbation in that episode?

So, is it Roswell that Ends Well, then? I've been waiting so long to see that. Thanks for the info.   :)

What I'm wondering is if they will show "A Tale of Two Santas" after "Roswell That Ends Well" or if they will save it for christmas.

Hi all,

Sky don't seem to be as scissor-happy as Channel 4. I think the cuts will be minimal or non-existent. After all, they showed the Simpsons episode where Marge and Homer... ahem... after homer injects himself with Mr Burns virility fluid, uncut. And that was at 11:00am! I don't think we have to worry.

One thing's for sure. The running order will be completely buggered up.

Am I correct in assuming that, for instance, if Fox doesn't show XYZ episode one particular week, it won air the following week and delay the rest, but rather just throw the episode on the "Unbroadcast" pile for showing at some unspecified time and date?

Did that make any sense?

Movies. Yes, I'm now, in an indirect and vaguely parasitical journalistic kind of way, in the movie biz! Hollywood will tremble at the awesome power of my withering sarcasm and snide insults! BWAH HAH HAH! Or not.

It's called Hotdog because it sounded cooler than Popcorn, and Kia-Ora was already trademarked...

Hmm, I can see it now:

week 1
Roswell that ends well:  (probably about the heaviest masturbation/groin/incest episode ever of any series).  Fry: Wow!  I...(cut to :) Ending credits.

week 2 (or, in the US, 4 weeks later)
A tale of two santas: morbo: Gr... (cut) Fry: g.. (cut) end credits

week 3 (hmm, another 3 weeks later in the us)
Antholo...(cut) end credits

sky: Sorry, we ran out of episodes.

I would be surprised if "A Tale of Two Santas" isn't cut just a little, especially given the fact that a lot of hype was created about it's content.

What makes you so sure?
True, Sky aren't as bad as C4 but whenever Futurama has been shown before 8pm on Sky, the word bastard is always cut as well as any reference to masturbation and some other things that I can't rembember right now

I've got confirmation in the March issue of the free Sky Magazine, in it Cohen says that Love & Rocket is one to watch out for.

Well, you're right about the masterbation thing but I think I've seen "Bastard" come up before 8pm on a couple of occasions.

There also was that time on the Simpsons when Homer first tells the family about his brother and Bart goes something like, "Oh he's a bastard then? Bastard, bastard, bastard, bastard (and so on)" and that was way before 8pm. It was something at the same time I noticed BBC had no problem cutting - there was no issue of messing up important parts of the story - Sky just didn't bother touching it.
