It's probably a combination of both. In her position I would take my chances with the monster.

First one, then the other.
That has to be the best cover art ever. EVER!

St. Asimov Parade Shame it had to be cut out, but nice to know it was thought about to be included.

Sounds like an awesome DVD, can't wait! Also nice to know that this DVD will feature an animatic for the next movie Bender's Game...

Originally posted by soylentOrange: From what I can piece together, the '30 minute lost Futurama adventure' is simply the cutscenes from the Futurama Videogame pasted together. The game wasn't limited to 22 minutes of air time, so the total length of the episode is probably a full half hour. Im not quite sure how they're going to compile the cutscenes into a working episode though, since you have to actually have played the game for some of the cutscenes to make sense. I think it's supposed to be a normal animated thing based on the game. ADOY! Originally posted by soylentOrange: Are Fry and Leela somehow immune to Yivo's 'powers of persuasion'? Am I reading way too deeply into this? Yes. Well Fry is immune to almost everything so I'd say yes...at least until it attaches itself to his spine. As for Leela the only reason for immunity I can think of is her (likely) being "the other". Which MUST be explained in one of these movies.

She appeared at the premiere of BBS, and seems to really enjoy her character and the show. We've still got two more movies to go, so fingers crossed...

And why is Fry running away while Amy, Bender, and the Professor seem to be hypnotized? Are Fry and Leela somehow immune to Yivo's 'powers of persuasion'? Am I reading way too deeply into this? Yes. - Because she was about to seduce Fry.
- Fry is running away to get help from Zoidberg, who can use his razor-sharp claws to free Leela.
- Bender, Amy, and Farnsworth are not hypnotised, but are raising their arms in anger at Yivo, because all their subtle manoeuvring to get Leela to seduce Fry has just been wasted.
- Fry and Leela's neverending love for each other has enabled them to resist the temptation of falling for a planet-sized terapus they've never even met.

I mean if they're finished enough to know what the deleted scenes are gonna be then it's more than likely not going to take 2 more months to finish making the movie. Most music albums are finished 3 months before release. Not sure how it works with direct to DVD movies but it's likely there will be a substantial period of time in limbo between the movie getting finished and it's release on DVD. That's regardless of extras, although extras will only add to that time. I highly doubt they are re-animating the cut-scenes from the game though...

Originally posted by Binder: No, its going to be ingame cut-scenes pieced together. They would never animate an episode 1/3 the length of the film. That would actually be more work becuase the cutscenes don't really make sense without the levels in between them. That means they would have to program more scenes, which is alot of work. It would be so much easier to just have the Koreans re-draw it. Look better too. Originally posted by Xanfor: - Because she was about to seduce Fry.

Nobody has older Futurama DVD's than me. I got the Futurama DVD's on the first day they ever came out, Season One in the UK came out before anywhere else (many many months before America too) and I got it on that very day it hit stores for the first time. I believe it was in late January 2002 if I remember correctly. Still looks as good as new despite heavy usage. I don't let anyone else near it though...
