yup, mArc is looking sexy females and males to appear in his movie, but they have to be from san fransisco.. wait no... that's not it, to appear on television, that's it  :) so if you look good on camera and can defend futurama in a proper way, mail mArc... I told mArc not to put in SF, and see what he does  :) hehe... ok I'll shut up, but we do need people from SF  :)

Although not from San Fransisco I will be there this weekend thru Monday afternoon. What day did you need somebody [-marc-]?
If schedule permits I could possibly do it. Email me direct at nibblerhouse@hotmail.com as I am leaving this afternoon and may not be able to check my home email.

We have LA area people, but no SF, unless they are well hidden.  This isn't posted on CGEF is it?  might get a better response there

Sarge,be sure to really emphasize how deeply annoyed we all are at Fox. In fact do me a favor and kick a Fox exec in the shins for me. I'll give you a buck if you do.

Well, I go Monday morning at 10 to (Kif-"Ughhh...." ) Hollywood for the interview. It's gonna be done by satellite. So I better take a deep breath before I go out in space.

I haven't a clue when it's airing. I think it'll go on tape & be edited 1st. I'll find out from TechTV when I get there. They promised me a tape of it. But you know Hollywood & promises.

well is it gonna be local news or what?  or is sarge going to be on nationwide? and also what network?  if we know that, then perhaps someone can plan to tape it.

PS- I haven't been to California in about 2 years, but when did SF become part of Hollywood.  :p

They have a remote station here in Hollywood.
I'll find out when & what station it will air on when I get to the studio. It'll probably be on a local station in San Francisco. Stuff like this usually ends up on the cutting room floor (or the recycle bin on a PC), so don't get too antsey. They promised me a tape. That's worth it.

So, should I go wearing nothing but a plastic blow-up pool duck wrapped around my waist, or with the Groucho Marx nose & glasses?

How is it going to air? It better not be public broadcasting.  :p Is this gonna be a semi-formal presentation? I just can't picture it yet.

Avoid saying anything along the lines of, "I agree!"; as they cleverly will cut and paste that after some dumb thing someone says that is the exact oposite of what you mean; think of: interviewer, "I like hotdogs", sarge: "I agree!" (60 minutes of interview later...) interviewer "thanks for coming in!"

Some guy on the show says later, "Well, those fans of futurama sure are crazy!  What do you think, spokes person for the fans and animator for the series?" (insert clip of sarge) sarge: "I agree!".  And that is all they show.

Oh, and wear a snazzy shirt that has the saying fux on it, or something clever (maybe in binary; people who watch that show are pretty darn nerdy).  And sell parts of your clothing for advertising.

ps, techtv used to be known as zdtv, owned by ziff-davis, a huge magazine producer (among other things) in the US; techtv is the largest computer and technology information station in the world... it is cable though, but there are some cities where it is broadcast.

Thanks McGrady. I'll remember that.
These satellite interviews are generally just talking heads. They might show my collar but that's probaby about it.
I'll get it in writing that they won't quote me out of context.
"Then I saw her/sweet sweet can/ I knew right then that I/had to have/her/sweet sweet can."  :laff:

Sorry, I'm new here.

What's going on in the SF bay area? (Down in Santa Clara myself... wrote up the original Wondercon Futurama panel stuff for Futurama Outlet)

Hey, is anyone (from the bay area) going to the Futurama event in LA on the 28th? I just preordered the dvd from the uk a few days before, and when I heard about it, I immediately bought 2 tickets in case they sold out. I'll prob. drive down by myself and see if I can get a friend down there to go with me or something. Hopefully I can get the dvd box signed. (if it arrives in time!)

You just got layed off/fired.  If you don't get picked up by the simpsons, it doesn't sound like you will have a job.  Maybe cry and say that you had to sell your clothes for advertising/money.

And STAY AWAY from those sweet sweet cans.  I mean gummy shaped women.
