I posted to PC911, an excellent computer forum I frequent, and, of course, to AICN.  I plan on typing up a letter to FOX tonight.

I'm very happy that the petition has grown so much, so quikly. Before I went online today I said to myself "please let there be at least 10,000 signitures", and to my surprise it's now approaching 27,000! This is going great, I hope all other areas such as letters and Emails are recieving as much attention.

aslate, I can't remember how much it costs to send a letter to the US, but it isn't much more than 50p. It won't cost much, and 2 seperate letters will make more impact than 2 letters posted together.

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually it reached 100,000. That would truly be superb, at the moment it hasn't showed any sign of letting up so if it carries on this could end with a collosal amount.

just as long as we don't wait to long to send it. the family guy people have had weeks to make a petition and i don't think they've sent it in yet. we gotta change fox's mind early enough so that they can snag back the original production team.

I have run out of knives to sharpen, now I have started on my spoons (SPOON! the cry of the Tick, another Fox victim), Maybe I shall sharpen my forks and keyboard after the spoons.

And then sharpen my ever growing collection of beer bottles(collection started after hearing of the cancellation).

Ok we need publicity!! I suggest we get one of those b*****d hackers to infiltrate the Fox site, and get someone good with layouts to make a new one with all the old Fox stuff on (might make it less illegal) and a theme of SAVE FUTURAMA. I really can't see that happening though.  :(

this is completely unrelated to Star Wars or X-Wing or anything like that but to all fans of the great Matt Groening show Futurama, and even those who don't like it or don't know about it please go to this site  http://www.petitiononline.com/futufu/petition.html  and pledge your support to keep it on the air.
In other words those f*ckheads at FOX are thinking about canning it for no reason what so ever and we need to show them that we won't stand for it. Please sign the petition and help save a great show.

It will mean so much to so many people.

Also, please don't turn this into a Futurama discussion thread. This is just a request.

Thank you."

I'm pleased to announce that the online petition now has over 40,000 sigs. Still going great!

Does anyone know when the Family Guy petition started? It has over 50,000 sigs but I would like to know how long it took for it to get that amount to compare ratios.

Nice sig, Zed. It looks like she's ready for some Fox hunting  :evillaugh: Maggied has had thousands of crazy sigs. But their avatars, ugh! They're not even from The Simpsons!  :p

I like it that the link for the petition is being spread around, not just the news. Captaincursor.com linked it, and E! online has the story. If it reaches Thai fans, then we're set! Thailand is one of the few Eastern countries that airs Futurama.
