You got your DVD's from Amazon.co.uk? How long did it take for you to get them and did they come in good condition?  I'm trying to decide on a place to order season 2 from when it becomes available.  I'm still waiting for the place in the states I ordered mine from to send me a copy that isn't destroyed.

Just my experience:

"How long did it take for you to get them and did they come in good condition?"

One week, and no. It was kinda messed up inside the packaging too, the dvd slipcases were scratched even though the package was sealed. The inner cardboard box was bent and scuffed a bit too. Seems like some bad QC on the part of the manufacturer, though my Amazon box was dented and caused dings in the plastic slipcover.

I placed the order on March 3rd and they mailed it out to me buy the 7th, so I'd say that's pretty good.  The condition was perfect, it was in it's orginal packaging and everything.

Mine were messed up inside the shrink wrap, too.  The kicker was the big scratch on DVD one.  Sounds like bad QC to me.  Bad QC sucks.

Were there any interviews with Kaplan (a producer, now co-producer)?

I learned that people who have something that you don't can be real jerks about it.  :finger:

I should check... but I wouldn't be able to buy over internet anyway... perhaps a money order or COD would be acceptable... WMUH HA HA!

So, when's season two coming out?     ;)

I also learned that John DiMaggio seems to be able to do every voice that Billy West does.

I said this before on this post:

I learned that even if Futurama goes to sindication it will lose one or two minutes per episode.   :(

And best of all, I learned how to burp like Bender.  :D

I got my DVD's that I order from Amazon.co.uk, the DVD's were fine and every thing but on my all Region free US DVD player they talked too fast and the captions I couldn't get off. Is there a way to fix it?

I learned they Bender sounds like a drunk old man and Zapp sounds more like fry when they are a little bit fast.

HJS, if you're talking about the subtitles (closed captions): goto language selection. Under subtitles simply click "off" (and while you're there, activate the audio commentaries, they're hilarious  :D)

I got the captions "on the DVDs" off now. Now all I need is to find out how to slow down the people's voices.

I learned that when a company sends you damaged DVD's and you send them back, they inevitably tell you "Futurama is currently out of stock".  So now I have to wait for them to order one from the UK, which I should have done in the first place.  Bah.

What kind of DVD player do you have homerjaysimpson?  I've never heard of any problems with audio like this.  Are the voices accelerated, like they're off time, or are they pitch shifted (where they sound like the Chipmunks or something)?

Another thing that I learned from the DVDs, possibly the most disturbing fact of all, is that Elzar has three buttocks.

I don't know if this has already been said but "My Three Suns" was originally going to be the second episode but was pushed back to being the 7th because it was a little wackier and they wanted the characters to develope a little more before showing it.

I'm glad they did that. The Series Has Landed was a great 2nd episode.

They don't sound like chipmunks but the voices aren't accelerated like a few beats fast or someing and the DVD player is a no brand called GVG.
