Does anyone know of any professional critical analysis of the show's style of humour?

I'm working on a "Style of humour" section for Futurama's Wikipedia article and I need some real critics' opinions to cite as evidence. Specifically, I was going to mention the heaps of nerdy in-jokes and the broad range of humour, from obvious lowbrow (Mayor Poopenmayer, "Bite my shiny metal ass" ) to subtle Star Trek references, mathematical jokes, social commentary, et cetera.

Help please?

as for Cleansingfire:
Welcome to PEEL

try going through the CGEF news section, maybe you'll find some interesting stuff. Maybe you need some admission for them to use it though.

There is also a scientific webpage on "Mathmatics on Futurama" around, in which our very own Administrator [-mArc-] worked.
Here the webpage for that:

Same thing about the admission applies here.  ;)
