Hello everyone ! I'm new and I don't speak English well.

I learn something today, on Futurama Planet. http://www.futuramaplanet.fr.st
Fox didn't command at the moment the fifth season of Futurama.   :(  The channel commanded the fourth season in January 2001. We are in February 2002, and Fox haven't commanded the fifth season  :(
Is it the end of Futurama ? It would be sad  :(

Nothing has been said either way, were still waiting, there's still a good chance that it will be renewed.

Welcome to PEEL, Charleboss. Enjoy it here.  :D

The fact that FOX still haven't renewed Futurama for a fifth season, isn't the same as it being cancelled. Thanks to the ever amazing planing skills and intelligence (or lack of ditto) of the FOX execs they're stocked up pretty good on episodes. They still has a few 3ACV episodes, and almost all of the 4ACV batch left. My guess is they'll hold out a bit longer before acting.

Why they're doing it this way is beyond me, but FOX execs acts in mysterious ways.

I like how he says:
"Fox didn't command at the moment the fifth season of Futurama.  The channel commanded the fourth season in January 2001. We are in February 2002, and Fox haven't commanded the fifth season"
Almost like a Bible verse, not that FOX is God though.

And Moses came down from MountStupidity with two tablets of stone, inscribed with Ten Commandments for Fox Execs:

1. Always cancel good shows after they start to get higher ratings than "When chairs collapse"

2. Never cancel "quality" programmes like "When animals crap in the woods"

3. Pre-empt highly awaited shows

4. Stockpile episodes of shows, build up a huge supply. Then release them at the rate of 1 a year

5. Be innovative with your titles. Instead of "Watching paint dry" call it, "When paint dries"

You guys finish for me...

6. Simpsons, football and reality-shows is your holy Trinity. Even awardwinning shows can be preempted, for their sake.

I prefer to call them the Triforce of Fox. And most of the batch of 4ACV episodes will probably won't be shown this season. That's a good sign that there will be a season 5.  :)

7. Rip off other network's shows, even your own shows, to mask a sense of lackluster quality.

This reminds me to finish my fic  :)

8. Always treat fans of good shows lower than dirt and bring back Temptation Island because 1 or two people like it.

9. Reruns are an executive's best friend. When in doubt, show the oldies

I thought that was the problem that Fox do not see it as a success.
