is there really an all new Futurama next Sunday Feb 10th? Fox-webpage says that Love & Rocket will be aired...
how could this be, is it because of The Chamber was canceled?

Too good to be true. Comments?

Well, if the Fox-webpage says it, it must be true.

...yeah, right.

Well, they have scheduled a new Futurama, and there's no Football to preempt it...  This should be interesting.  How will Fox find a way to cancel it at the last moment?  ("And now, random Super Bowl clips for no apparant raisin.&quot ;)

I'll believe it when I see it. Or hear about someone seeing it.  ;)

Besides FOX don't have to turn to football to preempt Futurama. They'll just make a 1 hour "Simpsons Special Classic Episodes Funtime Extravaganza", featuring some episodes from Season 11, or what-ever.

From FOX programming -
"Uhm...Hello.  We were all set to play a new Futurama this Sunday, but it's been so long since we received the finished episodes that we forgot where we put them.  So instead, enjoy 30 minutes of test pattern, accompanied by a high-pitched audio squeal!"

But FOX never actually give any sort of remotely reasonable explanation concerning the way they treat Futurama.

I've seen quite a few Futurama ads during primetime hours. I was really surprised. This ought to bring Futurama's ratings back up. Still, I can't wait to see it.

First off I'm just going to say this - I Am Canadian - so I don't get the same things that the States or anywhere else gets, but I was on the Canadian TV Guide site earlier today checking the show cancellations as well as the shows that have been renewed. Anyways the second show listed under "Taking A Break" is: 'THE CHAMBER (FOX) Yanked on January 28. Three unaired episodes may return later in the spring.' So we don't have to worry about THE CHAMBER pre-empting FUTURAMA, at least for a little while. But I looked in "Renewals & Pick Ups" "Taking A Break" and "Cancellations" and didn't find anything on FUTURAMA. For now, I take that as good news.

Indeed, FOX have no excuses at all, they better not blow it.

Oh, I'm sure they'll cook up some lame excuse if they wanted to can the show. I don't think they'll do it, I just think they're more occupied with "quality-entertainment" like The Chamber.

But if they know what's good for 'em, they'll renew Futurama for a 5th season quickly.

That is very true, it's a great show - FOX is just blind about it. And I'm sure they will regret the day they cancel Futurama, because it seems to me that the show has enough fans to keep it going for at least one more season if not more   :p

If they're picking up on the advertisements, ratings will climb, and season 5 will get made, and more Futurama will be aired, and we may even get to see some of them!

Let's take this one step at a time Nix, This is FOX we're talking about. FOX who screwed up with their treatment of the Simpsons, FOX who aired Family Guy, etc.

Aww man, so 'The Chamber' isn't completely cancelled? That sucks super monkey ball!

To Fox...Why would you save a whole hour of Malcolm from being eaten up by football but would not even give Futurama a chance to show in its full glory? What if next time we want to see a 'Super Futurama'? With even more guest stars up the wazoo? I bet you won't like that, huh?  ;)

Yeah, i love this early kind of anime

Still no sign of canceling or preempting by olympia or after-superbowl-party-special or another breathtaking Chamber trash :)

Not to mention The Critic as well.  They picked that up when ABC canned it after one season only to cancel it themselves after a season.

Another fine reason why FOX sucks! I loved the Critic, one of the best cartoons ever. And once again FOX treats anything that even remotely smells like quality, like pure crap.

Fox thinks they can make Futurama go quitely the way of Family Matters and that no one will care about the show anymore.
