Which Plotline?

Which plotline do you think is most likely to be resolved, and how, in the 13 upcoming new episodes?

i think the brainspawn will be in the movies, but as for the episodes, I really hope they don't resolve much of anything.  That way we might get more episodes after that!  Yes I am a greedy little bastard.

ooh nice thread idea TNUK. Hmm I think they'll work on Amy and Kif's relationship and something to do with Zapp, possibly when he destroys something.

i think  there will be another one were the earth is danger an wernstrom and the proffeser try to save the world, hopefully earth gets invaded again and something cool to do with fry or zoidberg

I'll go with a Leela+Fry story... (Yeah I know I'm a shipper) But, a Brain spawn story would be great too. I would also like to hear the full prophesy of the Mighty One and the Other. But really, anything would be nice.

Farnsworth won't die, they'll put his head in a jar and put it on the wall next to Bender's ass.

Amy and Kif would be fine, if the episodes are set five to six year in the future. (Relative to 3004)

Calculon is conceited. He'll never go out of popularity.

Having Morbo's people attack would be like everyone suddenly finding out who Scruffy is.

I believe Nixon's term of office was renewed for another four years in 'Xmas Time is Fear'.

I believe that the Brain Spawn/Nibblonian plotline, as well as 'The Other' prophecy, will directly tie in with the Fry+Leela plotline. And as for the one I voted for?

Zapp Branigan mistaken for God would be ace, imagine the punch lines, awww, great!

Maybe Zapp thinks he is god, so he tries to move his ship without using the thrusters, which causes the ship to crash into the planet where Kif and Amy are getting married, and Tinny Tim dies because of the crash, so he's stripped of his rank again. Calculon sees him on the street and thinks he needs to be in his new movie. The movie's a flop and Calculon goes on the Z-List. This makes the Calculon-loving Earth sad and this leads to the best time for Morbo to conquest the Earth. Then the Brainspawn come, and Morbo's people battle the Brainspawn in space. During this time, Wernstrom develops a plan to defeat the Brainspawn and to stop Morbo. The plan fails, and at the last moment, the Professor finally realises he had planned for something like this, and releases the plan, and the world is safe again. Nixon, as his last act in office, gives the Professor the Key to the Watergate Hotel.

Also, Fry and Leela makeout and have sex because of the impending doom, Bender catches them, and exploits it, or something like that.

There, the ultimate plot.

Fry+Leela, its what everyone wants. It wouldn't make any sense if they bring it back and not build on that relationship.

the first one would be cool. It would be nice to have  follow up on Fry being the one and leela being the other. Hey I guess that would be a bit #2 as well.

I really want the Nibblonians plotline to be solved.

I don't know if the Brain Spawn will be in anymore episodes, but ever since Nibbler called Leela "the other one" and told Fry that they would call on him when they needed the world to be saved again.. that has always perked my intrest.

I hope it's resolved in the movies, because that seems like it'd make great movies (maybe the 2 Brain Spawn episodes could be special features?) but if not I hope it's resolved in the series. ^-^

The Niblonian/Brain plotline. I am really anxious to find out what the "Leela must be the other" comment meant, but also they were an awesome bad guy. I would also like to see the Fry and Leela storyline continued and wrapped up, but I want to see the Niblonian/Brain one continued even more.

I want a realistic, down-to-earth show... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots.

Ideally I wan't something along the lines of AOI I, Roswell That Ends Well or Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurddles. Season 4 was so heavy with emotionel episodes and Fry/Leela shiping, that some comedy are in order.

Realistically I know they'll go with the Nibblonian or Fry/Leela-ship plot. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but...

Morbo's conquest of humanity sounds a decent premise, I'd vote for that.  Agreed on the comedy, we need more of that, less shippy, although the Fry/Leela and Kif/Amy stories need their space.

I don't think that comedy and shippiness are particularly mutually exclusive as far as Futurama goes - I think what happened was the shipper element started to become more pronounced right around the time when the gag writing started to decline. Season 3 got the balance right with Parasites Lost and Time Keeps On Slipping, Season 4 had episodes like The Why Of Fry and (dare I say it) The Sting where, good as the plots were, you can tell the writers are desperately trying to claw their way up the comedy mountain and coming down with all fingers. Too many non-sequiters and obvious self-contradiction gags.

If they go back to that balance that the best episodes of Season 3 had of gags and plot then they'll be back onto a winner.

Oh, and I'm voting Wernstrom. Any excuse to hear Dave Herman talk like a pre-pubescent Marvin The Martian.

Oh where to begin.  I want them all.

I would love to see Morbo and his people try to destory the planet.  Like an epic, 2 parter or something full of genuine war drama and comedy.  Oh god that would be sweet.  After that fails Morbo goes back to his post as co-anchor as if nothing happened.  "Soon my people will lick their wounds and return to destory this pitiful planet once and for all!"  Then Mindy laughs at his comments like she always does.  Yes.

Fry + Leela is a given.  It will probably be a double whamy, kill-2-birds-with-1-stone nibblonian/prophacy episode.  Final episode all the way baby.

I have a feeling that Farnsworth might bite the big one at the end.  I mean, why not?  The show would be ending anyway, so might as well kill him off.  Cubert will always be there to "finish his work" anyway.

There will have to be some stuff leading up to it though. Something has to happen between TDHAIP and the end of the upcoming season, you can't let a relationship go nowhere for that duration of time.
