It's been officially announced, stubborn doubters. Reuters, the AP, Entertainment Weekly and all the trades are reporting it with quotes from the "supposed" press release I posted. I can understand being skeptical of single-sourced hearsay, but this is more than solid.
If you need any more confirmation than that, I suggest you join the Flat Earth Society.

Wikinews article.Welcome to PEEL inturnaround. Bucks County, eh? I think that's where CrapBag's from. Seems that the news about the return have gotten at least one new member already. Read the PEELer's FAQ if you already haven't. Read it. Learn it. Live it. Make it into a hat rack.

Danke, i_c. Yeah, I'm new and I'm glad I had something good to actually contribute as my first post.
I'm proud to be from the same place that anyone named "crapbag" hails from. Fiercely proud.
The hat rack has been made, good sir.

... Damn it, FishyJoe, you're right!Update from mArc on CGEF: Update: It seems that some of these articles got some things confused. The 4 DVD movies which we reported about a few days ago will eventually be shown as 4 episodes each on Comedy Central. This makes the number of episodes 16, not 13. But as I understand it, there is no other new content other than those movies. *glowers irritatedly at random people* I don't understand. Didn't Katey and Billy both say "new episodes?" On the upside, this means each movie has 4 episodes worth of content, so they should be longer than 90 mintues apiece. Right?

I don't see where the idea comes from that's the source of the update on the front page that this is pretty much movies in episodic format and that's it.
I suspect it's more a trial balloon before CC orders more episodes, but I don't see any source for the cut up movies idea.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. There's never a plan for a season two when you just picked up a season one, just a hope for more. I'm sure if it makes sense for Fox and CC to do business for more episodes past the initial run, it will happen.

As angry as I am about the whole cable debacle, I proudly yet angrily raise the Excitement Threat Level to "red." It would behoove us to not look this gift horse in the mouth. Whether it's four new movies, four new episodes, or four new seasons, it's new and it's Futurama. Now to convince my folks to get cable by 2008. Actually, I should have my own place by then...

now i whish i had cable... im not only going to have to wait for the dvds to come out but for them to come to aussie dvd stores as well.... i think i need a tissue PS: i probablly will try to resist reading the transcripts because it will ruin it before i get the movies.. PPS: I though the transcripts were based off the dvd subtitles i guess im wrong.

For those young 'uns, relive those glory years again!. Looking back, I kind of feel guilty...he was only 10 :P Edit: I notice the new trailer for Al Gore's movie is animated by the usual suspects, so looks like my previous question on whether they'd stick with the same studio is kind of answered...

Ooy! El Zilcho! Sheep! Yay! Old PEELers are coming back!
Also, let's begin the preparation for the flood of new members soon to come. We don't want PEEL to become the next New Orleans!
