I recently read this on IMDb:

 Trivia: Lines of an unknown language, similar to hieroglyphics can be seen in varying locations throughout the intro song. According to Matt Groening, the glyphs *do* mean something, and it's up to loyal viewers to figure them out.

I know what the are now lets see if you do!
I'll tell you if you're right (forgive me if this was already a topic)

You mean the AL1 sigsn during the intro sequence? Yeah, those were translated 7 years ago. In fact most of them were translated a few hours after the premiere.

Yep, these Hieroglyphs are well known as Alien Language 1 and discovered and solved for years now.
