If you where in Nibbler's posistion, and you knew that you had to freeze Fry or the universe would be blown up. But you also knew that, in doing so, you would be taking Fry away from his home and his family, would you freeze him?

well yeah, seeing as in the very first episode, Fry was glad to be in the future away from his family

Tough call!

As we would have no Futurama without Fry being frozen... Hm... gee that's a tough one...

considering that there are the lives of billions and billions (and probably more) of people and aliens in the futurama universe, I'm thinking it wouldn't be much of a decision

I guess since both Nibbler AND Fry choose to be frozen to save the universe, I guess I would have to agree with the writers of Futurama and the decision of Fry and Nibbler.

Yes, as everyone else would die if it wouldn't occur whereas Fry wouldn't die he would just be transferred to the future

Fry even said tht he loves the future so in effect there wasn't a down side to actions.

Well actually he'd be dead (unless he lived to be over a 1,000 years old) b4 the brains destroyed the universe

We already know that Fry is better off in the future, but Nibbler in fact could not know that for sure. That really poses a problem.

I would do it eventually...
though I would really feel bad for everybody who might possibly miss him (his brother as we know). And it would always bother me how Fry might react to it when he finally finds out...

If he was not frozen then the universe would been destroyed any way, just in 1999 not 3002
