Good news, Season 3 is already into it's 9th episode in Australia, the Bad news... you'll need to have FOXtel to watch them. Unless you take the less noble route of Downloading them...

If you get NZ TV2, they air 'the cryonic Woman' today at 7pm (probably too late then  ;))

I know. It's been about 2 years since the last ep was shown on Ch 7 in Australia. I really wish that Ch 10 gets it instead. I downloaded an ep of Futurama the other night and it wouldn't work! What a waste of ten hours. I want my Futurama!

Where do you download your episodes from then? Maybe you don't have the right codec to play the episodes and 10 hours! I only have a 56k Modem that connects at 50k (Bloddy ISP) and it only takes me 3-4 hours.

Simple. Channel 7 should bite my shiny metal ass, I very highly doubt it will ever show on free to air TV again now that foxtel has it in its grips, giving it a crappy timeslot. I'll either have to get foxtel, or wait for the DVD's to come out.

I rang up Channel 7 and they said that there is a possibility they might show it again next December, but that's just a maybe... =(
Also with the Futurama ep I d/l (1st ep, season 3), the picture works (with DivX), but the sound won't play! Can anyone help me?

Just FYI to all you Americans, the cost of a Cable, DSL or ISDN connection in Australia is both limited to major areas and VERY BLEEDIN' EXPENSIVE

My friend rang up channel 7 and they said that they have no plans of showing Futurama anytime in the future.

It is amusing how Ch10 air Simpsons episodes and reruns until you know all seasons back and front and until you gag. And then Ch7 decides to take the rights to Futurama, without even airing them anymore. Maybe someone should have a word to Ch10 to pick up the rights to Futurama, leaving out the whole network competition they had when it aired. A whole 2 years ago. Bah. But still, it'd make more sense to have both Groening shows on the same network, yes?
Regardless, it really sucks that Foxtel has it on cable and not free-to-air tv. Waaaah!

Yes, on Channel 10 it would get the recognition it deserves, unlike f****** Channel 7! Anyway, when I rang them up they said that it might not be shown again, but there's a possibility they might rerun eps in December. I live in Sydney so it might be different.

But please, can anyone tell me how to listen to the sound in the Futurama ep I d/l!!!
