Enter, breath;
Breath, slip out;
Blood, be channeled,
And wind about.
O, blessed breath and blood which strive
To keep this body of mine alive!
O gallant breath and blood
Which choose
To wage the battle
They must lose.

This calls for retaliation!

* Everybody attend sporting events broadcasted on tv, and hold up anti-FOX signs when cameras are nearby (Highest potential if residing of Utah).

* Register your local fuckfoxnetworks.*** domain name (except if residing on Tonga, where that name is unavailable).

* I don't know! Hunger strike outside your local affiliate maybe?

Nah, they'd probably just tape it for "When Nerds Starve."

Speculation it may be, but as people have said, as rumours go, I suspect Sarge's would be the most reliable.

And also, has anybody noticed the tendency for unpleasant rumours to turn out to be true?

F**king hell.

Sounds very much like an actual FOX programme. They'll probabbly take notice of all this internet outrage, and FOXify it to make "When Nerds get mad"

and the thrilling sequal "when Nerds bomb our headquarters"

Or something.

Perhaps it would be better to complain to the sponsors. Tell them how you buy the product that you saw advertised during Futurama, but now you won't see their ads on Fox as you are boycotting the station. Probably won't do much good but better than just complaining to Fox about how the programme we like is getting cancelled.

The FOX website is down. Has someone been retaliating a little early? It was OK just a few minutes ago.

I could scream every profanity I know (pretty extensive) I could hunt Fox down and raze them to the ground but I'm just to angry at the moment. Why would they do this with some of the crap they continue to make it makes no sense  :finger: .
All I hope is that if the rumours are true then just because the series ends that is not the end. Let's hope they do direct to video releases or even better start making a movie sereis now that would rock  :)

If somebody has taken it down then they are an idiot, attacking FOX's site or threatening them won't make them change their minds, in fact it is more likely to make sure that they don't change. They might see reason (unlikely) but won't be bullied. If this is just a scare and they are still thinking about it, any threats will just increase the odds of them scrapping it.

You're forgetting that people do direct to video shows all the time. Like Disneys Aladdin, and the nmmovie sequels to that. It all sucked. And like all those WB animated movies that go straight to video. They suck too.

Direct to Video sucks

Hmm true, true but I was thinking more along thee lines of OVA's such as Tenchi Muyo and Record of Lodoss War, of course depending on your stance on Anime, they don't suck well I don't think they do.

Anyway all I can say is FOX can bite my SKINNY HAIRY ASS.

The worst part about this is that the show was never given a real chance. It was given a terrible time slot,
moved around a lot and never fully promoted by Fox.  The only thing that makes me feel worse is the idea that the Simpson’s is going to yet another season. Watching the  new episodes of the Simpson’s is like
taking care of an elderly parent. The memoirs of what they once were are still fresh in your brain, but the
reality is that person is gone. This whole thing is making me sick...However, I’m trying to keep in mind that
some of my favorite shows that have been on TV have had relatively short runs....The original Star Trek only ran from 1966-1969,  "Monty Python's Flying Circus" from 1969-1974, The Critic from 1994-1995, The Young Ones from 1982-1984, Quantum Leap from1989-1993 and Millennium from1996-1999...not to mention many more...I just hope new Futurama merchandise keeps coming our way including a US DVD release in the next two-three years...

This is the first cancellation of a show I've actually realized because I am so involved with it... I mean I've seen many shows come and go in my life, but it never really had an impact on me

I'm upset at the way Futurama has been treated over the short life-span, but in some ways, maybe it shouldn't have poked fun at the FOX head in Mars University, making Gunther the future chief and then Fry's comment in When Aliens Attack "pfft Who Cares" after he knocks them off the air.

Let's hope Matt, David and the gang can persuade another network to take the show on, providing FOX lets them (I'm uncertain who holds the rights to the show).

Then again Babylon 5 got cancelled by Warner Brothers after 4 Seasaon and TNT picked up the 5th season, and all the TV movies, so there is some hope.

Please don't start petitioning yet, we need to bundle forces here (CGEF I guess). Online petitions can only do so much. We can add them (maybe that one) to the mix, but we cannot stick with just that. Sit back, visit CGEF, think about what can be done, propose it and then we see what sounds prosperous.

This may nog be happening for real!
It is much too soon for Futurama to disappear from TV already. The show's been given the neck shot before it even could stretch itself to its maximal capacity.

This is so sad...

Thx.

like I said before, the best way to commit proper harakiri, is take an airplane, take off, fly to the fox building and crash into it... that'll solve 2 problems at once

"A funny thing happened to the FOX execs as they plunged into the Quasar.  They vaporized, why not?"  (Hey, I can dream can't I?)

It's finally happened I guess.  That last functioning brain cell that the FOX execs were sharing has died off.  Without Futurama, there are only 5 shows left on TV that I care about, and none of them are on FOX.  (2 on NBC, 1 on Cartoon Network, 1 on Sci-Fi, and 1 on WB.)  So Fox has lost another viewer over here.

I can only hope that Cartoon Network or Comedy Central talks with Matt to pick up Futurama.  Perhaps a dual/triple letter writing campaign?  One letter to Fox asking them to keep Futurama on the air and another to Cartoon Network/Comedy Central to see if they could pick up the show?  (I'm still hoping for a Duckman/Critic/Futurama animation block, only with new Futurama eps and maybe even South Park tossed in for good measure.)

We should definitely come up with some templates people could use for Futurama letters (while encouraging people to write their own since dozens of form letters wouldn't have the same impact).  I'm ready to help in any way I can.

I wrote to   askfox@foxinc.com  , the adress I got from Paul's posts.   :)
I also pointed out to them that I was British and mentioned what a large fan base it has in every country it's shown in.

I don't think they care though - Bastards   :finger:

[edit]Oh, and on the subject of dissappearing shows, it turns out Friends will go no further than series nine. J F Y I. (You probably know already) At least there they came to a unaminous decision, NBC didn't decide just to stop showing it.
