About the movies and series equivalency:
Anything "feature length" is at least one hour, from opening sequence to credits. Assuming a length of one and a half hours (longer than the Family Guy movie, but fairly average and probable), each movie will have four episodes (each of around 22 minutes, as the series always was - I'm assuming our DVD movies won't have ads). Given there are four movies, that's 16 episodes. The average Futurama season was 18 episodes, so that's not much of a stretch, especially given the first season was only 13 episodes. I'd say four movies makes one season fairly well!
So, I thnik it's not unfair to say they chose four movies because they could then make them as episodes and just run them together to make a movie, as was done with "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story". Then they could televise it as a series to promote it, or to promote a new season. Yay!

That amounts to criminally negligent optimism.JBERGES: What? I thought it was a no pessimism zone!Outlook cop: Hey, just be glad I don't write you for being maiciously optimistic.
