thank you for the welcome.   It's such a hairy situation that we both decided that the risk and cost on our part would far outweigh the benefits.  No actions will be taken on our part, but there probably definitely is some corporate mishandlings happening.  Last option is to try to become nielson families and only watch Fox for Futurama.

FOX usually shows Futurama the days when football ends late, but this week, the Bears get a bye week, which means there was no football at 3. Why didn't they take advantage of this opportunity? Instead, FOX is mocking us with a commercial saying a new Futurama will air the 20th, which will most likely be pre-empted. It's too bad the Nielsen ratings can't tell what people would like to see more.

This is what we do. When That 80's show starts, let's divert our anger by spamming their fans once they set up an 80's board.  ;)

I still cannot believe that a TV-channel buys a show and doesn't air it. So I suppose the REAL reason why we don't see Futurama is that Sarge ruined the tapes with "cigs and Bourbon" and Fox officials are crying their eyes out =;-))))

If it were any other network, I'd be amazed that such an idiotic show as "The Chamber" actually got airtime.  The only silver lining is that there is a 90+% chance that a bunch of morons will get hurt by it.

the good thing: The chamber got 18% less viewers than the simpsons score on average with that timeslot (came in 4th only). The bad thing: Simpsons got a higher rating than Futurama in the 7pm slot, but maybe we can't really count that as Futurama only got 7:20 - 7:30pm timeslots really this season

PS: next week is Bendless love, the week after Parasite lost and the week after that no futurama at all as scheduled by now

I saw a commercial yesterday for a new Futurama ep (showing Fry zapping a spaceship with a video game) that's supposed to air the 20th.

I saw that futurama commercial, but it said that it wouldn't come out until feb.

As far as the ratings go:

At 7 p.m., "60 Minutes" dominated the hour with a 14.1/22, followed by a special hour of "The Simpsons" on FOX, 7.1/11 for the hour.

I don't have the exact numbers for the 1/2 hour time slots; it could be that it got say, 6.8 and 8.6 or something, and they averaged it, or that it got 3.55 twice and they added it together.  However, the statement above leads me to believe that it got a 7.1 rating for an hour; futurama usually gets around 5, koth get around 5.5.  This means that simpsons drops about 20% moving from the good time slot to the bad time slot.

Not as bad as it appears; fox knows that the simpsons is one of their best viewed shows (which is why they keep it where it is).  KOTH and x-files get similar ratings to futurama, and they have better time slots and have been around a long time.  Fox has like 30 back episodes of futurama; if anything, they will probably go for at least 2 more seasons, even if they can the show... and use futurama as filler for football games *sigh*
