I just posted the same thing in "It's Got A TV". I shivered when I saw it.

Fox 8 have all 72 episodes of Futurama on daily rotation in broadcast order... I've never seen them just repeat 5 episodes over and over again. You must just be coming across the same episodes when you tune in... unlucky. Then again, nothing to not be expected, given that 72 episodes really isn't enough for a daily rotation (though it's not as bad as The Comedy Channel having Family Guy on daily rotation with 48 episodes). One thing about that article that pissed me off, though. They called Futurama a Simpsons spin-off. What the fuck? They're two seperate shows in two different universes. Just because it's by the same creator doesn't make it a spin-off. Fucking idiots.

They'll probably do what they did when Futurama came on in the beginning, play it at prime time for a few episodes, then shove it back to 11:30 after re-runs of Australian Idol or something... then no one will watch it.... :'(

Wouldn't they have to play it at 7:00pm or later? If they play it before then on weekdays, they'd have to censor it down to a G rating.

I dont think they would. There are a few episodes of the Simpsons where the word "bitch" came in, and that was at 6pm.

They still censor the 6pm Simpsons down a lot. When I watch the episodes on DVD/Foxtel, I'm constantly finding scenes or lines that were cut from the 6pm version - usually the more sexually explicit jokes.
I really don't think they can (or should) cut enough episodes down to a G rating, they'd be better off putting it on at 7:00pm where they can get away with a PG rating... assuming it'll have a daily slot, of course. I heard somewhere it might just be on Wednesdays and Fridays, meaning it'd probably have a 7:30pm timeslot.

I remember a line where grandpa simpsone said: "Are you talking about sex? I had sex." And one time, I remember, i went "Here comes a funny bit" but it got cut...those bastards.

All those crappy American sitcoms were on Channel 7. If Channel 10 don't put Futurama on at 7:00pm, that slot will either remain Raymond's, or might be used for more Simpsons or Seinfeld, since those are the only shows that have really been successful in that slot.
I'm hoping Futurama's not on at 6:30pm, that means a watered-down G-rated version.

http://www.ten.com.au/main_idx.aspx?section=tenShows That says that Futurama will be starting on the 30th of November at 8pm. Its about time too cus even though channel 7 had the rights for Futurama, they never played it, and even when they did it was at like, 11pm which was kinda late for me :S

You're probably right, but I reckon Futurama's best chance of popularity here will come if it's shown directly after The Simpsons... 8:30 Tuesdays or something would be nice, but probably too much to ask for.

Aren't most episodes of Futurama rated about PG? Cus I mean there are a few jokes in there that wouldnt be understood by the younger crowd.

All the DVD box sets are rated PG I think- there's really not too much 'offensive' stuff in there, but the G-rated timeslots can be very restrictive unfortunately.
