Overall a very good episode. Funny, lots of jokes, I liked Leela goes home best, then Bender the human, and the video game one third. I have been dissapointed by the newest episodes, but that could be just me over hypeing them, expecting too much. Loved zoidberg in the Leela goes home, very funny, along with professor's giant head, fry's why does everyone say that?, and mom's line: Who knew a small amount of liquid would ever touch me? Bonus points for 2 AL1 references... so far...

I love Bender's story...at least until he got really fat. I like the smooth animation and the way he acted. I like the human version a lot! The running gags are cool. I hope they keep 'em up next year. Also, I love the way Leela squished Amy, hehe.

Not good. Not bad, but not good either...
But great music
The first AOI was way better.

Bender's part: Best, and the really great song "Conga" was included

Fry's part: Next best, almost as good as bender's. Some great jokes, but sadly enough all the jokes weren't as good.

Leela's part: As you you have already understood the worst of the three. Quite good in the beginning, but it got a little boring after a while       ...

One of the best jokes in the episode were (as some of you already pointed out...) when the professor came with box marked "Leela's organs". I really laughed out loud   :laff:    :laff:

Final grade: 3/5 or B-

I don't think Bender's tale was that great. IMHO Leela's was better. Bender's tale needed some better ending....

Yeah maybe the ending was slightly predictable. But come on, if you have a human who acts exactly like Bender, you can't have him not die in the end.

I'm surprised they didn't do anything with Bender's love of stealing. I was sure he'd end up in jail

yea but he's been in jail as a robot. and if you think about  it, it's probably a lot easier to steal as a robot than as a human.  I think they did the right choice by having him focus on "human" emotions and stuff

I liked AOI 2.

Bender's What If was OK, until the end.

Fry's was great, brought back a lot of memories of wasted time in Games Arcades.

Leela's was great as well, especially the way the avoided her question, and the Wizard of Oz rip-off was neat as well.

Thank Goodness Amy featured a lot more in this ep.

--------------------------------------------

Still reckon Leela's What If from AOI 1, is gonna be the best in AOI history, for certain reason.

See, Dwight was supposed to be introduced in a production season 3 episode called "the route of all evil" of course someone got the spoilers so we all knew about it a while ago.  Then it never aired last season (and probably won't this season at the rate we are going).  He's in the crowd scene of the calendar, that might of been the first time we actually saw him.  But I mean little Jamaican kid ... hmm who could it be.  But I can still blame FOX because they aired AOI2 before "the route of all evil" so people that don't read crap on the Internet still don't know who that little kid is.

Not as good as AOI 1, but keeping the high level.

My favourite history was, without any doubt, the Bender as a human one. Not only the funniest, also the one with the best plot. The other two stories was quite good too, as usual.  :D

Don't you think the stories were even crazier than in AOI 1? At the moment it isn't bad, I hope they won't make in the future something like Treehouse of Horror XI.

You MUST be joking!!
This was anamazingly funny and clever episode, and if you ask me, it takes it's place next to ANY of the best Halloween episodes from the Simpsons.

To compare this episode to the crap that has been coming out of the Simpsons over the past few years in beyond insane.
Maybe you just didn't get it.

It is so bad the berder being human was good tell the end when berder dies.If life was a game was just a bunch of lame jokes about old games from the 80s no plot.It also goes for the leela on two.

So for people who didn't see it and people going to see it don't see it.

Worst episode of futurama ever!

AoI 1 was a better ep IMO, but this one was ok. The most memorable line was Hermes: "There's always next year..." after Leela woke up when Farnsworth was about to steal her organs.

At last I got to see this episode. I love it. Fry’s one was so cool I like the bit where they in the game Pac Man and Zoidberg ate Fry.

Leela’s one was very funny. I love the bit with mom, she made me laugh on every scene. My fave quote is “So you want to be adopted you little skank?” I LOL when she said that of and it’s cool when Leela was a witch too.

As for Bender’s one I REALLY LOVE IT ALL THE WAY.    Oh yes all the way even when he’s a fat blob. Ok liked the bit when he was changing that was very good. And we almost saw his man hood. I really really really loved the antenna joke mmmmmm    Fry should of let Bender wiggle it around a lot more. The puke bit was funny too. Bender looks really hot and sexy. Oh I think Amy is a Skank by making a move and kissing Bender. I love when Bender eats, drinks, and dance. It’s so sexy the way he kisses that woman at the disco.  Wish that was me. I didn’t mind seeing Bender really fat. He looks kind of cute. Didn’t like the grilled cheese bit though and I didn’t like the idea that he die.

Me want more human Bender drools

I've finally had the chance to see it and it was good, but I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as last weeks "Roswell that Ends Well". I found the three stories to be about equal in quality, none were bad and all had great moments but none of them gave me the feeling I had after watching the first two parts of "AOI 1".

Bender as a human started off great, the antenna joke was superb and so were his other initial responses to being a human. I felt let down after the first half, when it started to go all weird like a modern Simpsons episode. there was too much of Bender being massive, it would have been fine if there was only a few seconds of it but it just went stupid and the jokes became slap stick.

I really enjoyed Fry’s life as a video game; it brought back memories of my retro gaming years. Some really classic video games were used and it was decent enough. I just wish they had made it 3D, like the 3D Homer segment of "THoH VI". I would have liked to see some Sonic references too. Having said that it was pretty funny and entertaining and I enjoyed seeing Lrrr again. It's probably better than I made it out to be, it's just that I wanted it to do different things and had my own ideas. It had a lot more potential, especially given the fact that the Futurama team are capable of some glorious 3D effects.

The final part was in my opinion the best. As a child I always used to watch "The Wizard of Oz" and it helped me to enjoy this segment all the more. From the first moment, even the way Leela went into the dream from the What If machine banging her head was class. The visuals were beautiful, I love it when they're full of bright colors and detailed scenery. Seeing Amy get killed by Leela again was cool, a trend that’s forming amongst "AOI" episodes. I loved the way many secondary characters were used to portray Wizard of Oz characters. Using Mom as the witch was the obvious thing to do although I'm glad she got killed before we had to see too much of her. I loved the jokes and the way they made fun of the film, decent stuff but as a whole didn't end as cleverly as the first "AOI".

Overall after seeing it once I would say it's about average, some very good parts let down by some stupidity. I prefer the first "AOI" however I found all three parts of "AOI 2" were better than the final part of "AOI 1", which was nice. Maybe I'm being too harsh, after all, in many cases a Futurama episode can get much better after watching it again and again. Who knows, one day it might be my favorite.

Gah.. I thought Roswell was bad, but this was even worse. AOI1 wasn't that great either, but at least the fing-longer joke at the end was funny. There was hardly anything to laugh about in this one.

The first act was the worst. There were a few good bits, like the antenna joke, and seeing the Professor partying, but most of the fat Bender / Nobel prize scene was just boring. Nice to see Wurnstrom back, though.

The second one was better.. Not really anything FUNNY, but some of the references were clever, like Donkey Kong jumping on the building, and Mario. I must admit, though, I think I'm just a few years too young to get who those characters at the end were.

The third act was the best. Great to see Mom again! "You wanna get adopted, you little skank?" Amy wasn't bad either, and I liked Zoidberg's 'cab' line. Still not that great, though.

I really hope I don't grow to hate Futurama like I hate the Simpsons. I forgive this one for being over-wacky because it was an AOI episode, but I really hope it gets better next week.

What exactly do you look for in a Futurama episode? I think Roswell and AOI1 are among the best episodes ever. AOI2 isn't as good, but it still has a lot of funny stuff. I can't believe you'd hate them.

And also I'd like to say that Mom is easily the worst recurring character on the show. I know everyone has their differing opinions and what-such, but still, it's kinda crazy that two fans can be total opposites regarding what they like/dislike about the show.

The reason for that is because the third part is her dream. When she asks the What If machine her question it probably shows the answer but because she get knocked out and sleeps through it, what we see is her dream, a simular perception which deliberately avoids the question.

Good jokes and a good plot.  I know that there wasn't much scope for plot development in the two AOIs, but tonight, there just weren't that many good jokes.  Jokes that try to be funny, and aren't (like we're getting throughout new Simpsons episodes) are just as bad.  There have been quite a few of those recently in Futurama, too, e.g. Zoidberg - "I'm not hearing a no.." "Do I smell or something?..Oh." Leela - "Invaders.. Possibly from space!"

Don't get me wrong, Futurama has a top writing team, and I consider the best episodes much better than the best episodes of probably all other shows I've seen.  I just think the writers are running out of steam.

On that note I've noticed a general trend for people who really loved the episode to least enjoy the "wizzin" segment, and the people who weren't all that impressed preferred the "wizzin" segment to the others.

I know that much, but I just found it odd that when you really think about it, Leela's dream had nothing to do with her trying to find her home either.  You'd think that if she thought it was happening she would immediately dream about trying to find her home, but instead she starts out that way and then the whole thing becomes a (albiet funny) parody of "The Wizard of Oz".  Why not just have her make any random wish to the What if machine if they weren't even going to concentrate on finding her home at all.

Don't get me wrong, AOI2 is one of my very favorite episodes.  I just think it's odd that they addressed that and then went in a completely different direction with the plot.
