I didn't here wrong. I was watching Futurama and on the commercial they said new episode Thurday...

Well I guess you were watching teletoon (or not).

There aren't any new episodes beside the 72 available ones on DVD. Idea/plans of a direct to DVD movie were made few months ago, but all the talk about it went quiet.

About the thing you mentioned: I guess they refer to new episodes, as episodes they haven't shown so far.

Someone said such a thing some time ago before : here.
