I really loved this episode. I thought it was hilarious. The song, at the end, when Leela says something like: you tried your best, and some of these gorillas are ok!...cracks me up, and i don't know why. Also, when Bender breaks into the people's chimney is wicked funny! it makes me laugh all three times i've watched it.

I LOVED IT! One of the best Futurama episodes ever! I knew FOX was going to put the parental advisory thing before the ep and rate it TV-14 but my question is: Why the hell didn't they do that in 2000?!?!? Anyway, the best part was where Bender arrives at the first house and talks to himself when seeing the chimmeny blocked off by metal bars. Bender: Duh, gee Bender, how we gonna get through these bars?... I don't know, moron, suppose I bend 'em?... Duh, OK. GREEEEEEEAAAAAATTTT. Also, check out the guide page for this ep at www.geocities.com/shadowstar_freakboy/guide3acv03.html Wait... I don't know how to get a link on a post!

I'm sure they would have edited the 10 seconds of air time that Zoidy gets if that was the reason. I think it had to do with Santa tearing up children's insides with bicycle guns and the year old corpse of grandpa. Add that episode to little kids and you get horrified little kids.

Actually, I'd like to thank you for reopening this. I've been too lazy to hunt it up.
This was a pretty good episode. Slightly sacreligious towards the end (I help those who help themselves!), but that's ok. The premise was pretty funny, and Bender did an admirable job getting the tar beaten/shot/torched out of him. Kwanzaa-bot was pretty funny (the traditional Kwanzaa book). Overall, I thought it was above average, though not one of my favorites.

I don't think it was on intentional on Fry's part, but I bet he remembered the moment fondly when he had time to reminisce... Am I the only one who gets a shippy vibe from that scene, what with Fry kind of shielding Leela with his body and Leela with a protective arm over Fry's back? Also, Fry looks kinda yummy in that tan parka, no? Now, if only Fry and Leela had been next to each other in the fear-huddle at the end...it was really unforgiveable that they weren't. *grumble, grouch*

It's Leela's arm that's protective; Fry's hand is on Leela's hip/ass area, which started the whole debate in the first place. But Fry's body is sort of shielding Leela. Which is not unlike the first Xmas ep, where Fry positioned himself between Leela and Santa as they are backing away.... Now, if they could have just squeezed Fry between Leela and Hermes in the final huddle, it would have been the best Xmas ever...ah, well.
