Originally posted by DotheBartman:One of the Christmas ones was padded with some episodes that mention Christmas in passing. If the same is the case with Futurama then The Farnsworth Parabox will probably be on this release; "Tangled-up Christmas tree lights!"If it's true that another DVD is coming out then that must mean the sales of the Manic Robot set must have been really good. Hopefully that is all the more reason for these new movies to be made.

Jerry Springer: The Opera is something that's been running in theatres you fool. David Soul (The dude from Starsky & Hutch) plays Jerry Springer and it got lots of controversey. It is a real thing, not a joke.
I reported this freaking thing in the first place, it is a report on what Fox is releasing in the 4th quarter of this year, this would have been titles listed by Fox at some point, I can't see why they would have just made up a title to add to the list, so we can safely assume this DVD is being planned. Whether it does get released in the end or not is yet to be seen.

No I mean, we have no idea what the movies about, Correct and right after we heard about it a mysterious DVD called "Futurama at Christmas" has been suddenly scheduelled for November. Correct Also, since when do they advertise tv show compilation discs in magazines like that? Quite often Sure, it's soon, but if the animators get off their lazy asses..... ... and stop bothering with all the other cartoons they're making? Seriously, it's very unlikely that this (officially unannounced) DVD is the movie. Don't forget it takes about 9 months to produce a regular episode of Futurama but one that only lasts about 23 minutes. A movie would have to be at least 90 minutes long to have anything decent in it. Groening and Cohen said right at the beginning that they'd like to do a trilogy some day so they probably have the basic storyline mapped out already. Beyond that, there's no way they could write a full script, schedule all of the voice actors and any guest actors, animate it, package it and release it around the globe in the next four months.
