Hi there,

does anybody know the name of the song this "poppler song" is derived from???

Its from episode 2ACV15 (gotfuturama.com's listing).

I mean this "Pop a Poppler in your mouth" and so on song.

Would be great if someone knew.

Welcome to the board of tomorrow, bhdrprs. I hope you'll enjoy it here.

Regarding the song: I'm think I heard it when I saw "The Last Prom" from London's Royal Albert Hall. I think it might be "Land of Hope and Glory"

It's "The Sailor's Hornpipe", immortalized in many a Popeye cartoon.

here's an interesting fact of the day: some Tesco stores use that song as a jingle in their radio broadcast

@Teral: Hm, in fact i already did. Malicious providing of false information is a little bit more than a peccadillo. (youll hear from me).

It's not the Popeye theme, but it's a song that is played a lot on the old cartoons.
