And guess what? I'm mentioned in the audio commentary!

Not by name, obviously, but here's the transcript (sorry, I'm not sure who's saying what)...

'The Series Has Landed', 6:48
"The ever-changing hallway outside the cockpit door."
"There's a guy who has a website that is blueprints of the ship, and gets mad at us all the time at how it fluctuates!"
"We drive him mad!" [laughter]

I'm expecting discs 2 and 3 tomorrow (hopefully). More details to follow. But the deleted scenes for 1ACV03 explain why Amy suddenly appears out of nowhere when everytone complains to the Professor about Fry (quite a funny moment too!)

As editor of DVD Review, the UK's best-selling DVD magazine (hee hee, had to get that plug in!) I have early access to all manner of digital wonders! Which is pretty cool, really. I even get American DVDs before they come out - I've had The Fast And The Furious for the past week!

I'll hopefully have a review (complete with grabs of the deleted scenes and so on) of the DVD set up on ANSTATMAW by next week. Or maybe I should put it on PESS, seeing as that's what got mentioned by the show's creators!

Wow, that rocks a lot. I'm thinking about making a cool nitpicky website of my own so the writers will talk about me on future DVDs.

I envy you payndz you lucky person, anyway I purchase your magazine on a regular basis & I know you only have the 1st disc so far but if you don't mind could you please rate it?

In issue 29 your magazine, The Simpsons season 1 DVDs were rated as the following:
Picture        ****
Sound          ****
Entertainment  ****
Extras         ***
Value          ****

I'm curous to see how you would personaly rate the first DVD season of Futurama in comparison, I can understand if you would rather not but If you would, I'ld be thankful if you did.

By the way, for anyone reading the above & is unfamilier with the magazine DVD Review I would like to point out that the ratings are out of 5, not out of 10.

I'm sorry to hear that. No one should be subjected to such horror. At least you get Futurama DVDs to make up for it, unlike me.   :(

Well if Javier Lopez can type in English on this board then I take it he/she must understand English which means he/she could go onto Amazon.co.uk and order them for the end of January :p

yeah, but those are expensive so buy it first in english to buy later the same DVD in spanish is a total strike to my economy. Also i have the VHS version so i would have 3 versions of tha same, and this is FOX wants from me, that i spend all of my money on them.

Yeah, we are going to join all Europe countrys so we will be the most powerfull Country and take over the world and put on power an evil president.   :D plus, maybe we can make an agreement with Rusia to be even more powerfull..   sake G.Bush!    :D

but don`t worry, first we will take over FOX so they finish trying to destroy Futurama.

sorry if i missed something, but what xactly does region 2 mean. i cant find any futurama dvds on amazon.com, but amazon.co.uk lists them and says region 2 encoding. does this mean they have to shipem to the US, or does this mean my DVD wont playem at all...?

also, is it multiple dvds... one 2 sided dvd???

Welcome to PEEL, phatslug. Enjoy it here.  :D

The world is divided into several zones by the manufactures of DVD's and DVD players. The US and the Americas are region 1, Europe (and the rest of the countries listed above) is region 2. A region 2 DVD wont play in a region 1 DVD player, unless it's been "modified".
