thank you for your replies! i just barely got into futurama because when it first came out i thought it would be a bad simpsons knock-off, so i didnt see it till i saw it on adult swim and i love it! why was it cancelled anyway? is there a petition i can sighn to bring it back?

The AFF thread is the official site for the bringing back of Futurama and has a link to the petition, I believe.

The reasoning for the hiatus, not cancellation, of the show is because of ratings dropping during the 3rd and 4th Broadcast Seasons. The 5th Broadcast Season was left overs, showing why there was a 5th Season in the middle of the summer.
