If a Futurama movie with a plot as bad as that came out, I wouldn't buy it. Hah, nice one, Smitty. Guess that ran a sword through IMDb's vaunted infallibility, eh? I owe you a POTM nomination. By Dan26459+84187: I heard somewhere that they were gonna make a Futurama/Simpsons Crossover Movie. Maybe this is what the movie will be. If they made a Simpsons/Futurama Crossover movie I'd hunt them down and shoot them myself.

Well, I've absolutely nothing against the Brain Spawn, but I don't think they'll be the main antagonists of the movie, because they ARE trapped in that alternate universe place, right? (Rereads sentence: Gawd, I just sounded like the true sci-fi geek I am...) Anytosh, I doubt it'd be Mom, 'cause she was the main villain of the video game, and I don't think they'd re-use her for the movie, but I've no evidence to deny it. The movie's plot will probably center more on the whole prophecy thingie concerning Fry. And will we FINALLY understand what Nibbler meant by "the other"? Man, I hope so. >_>

Let me explain to you guys how IMDB works so you can get a better idea of what's real and what's not.
Things like plot summeries and movie reviews are subjective. Anyone can submit those, because they are pretty much based on your own personal point of view and opinion. It's like a book report for school. 30 different students will have 30 different plot summeries of the same book. Same for movies. That is why, if someone posts a plot summery or review on IMDB, that person's screen name will appear below their posting. That indicates that this is this particular person's idea of the story line.
Take a look at the IMDB plot summeries for Titanic or Superman or any other popular movie. you'll see that there are multiple plot summaries. And each one includes the name of the person who submitted it. (IMDB is basically saying, this didn't come from us, it's from so and so.)
Credits are something entirely different. Credits aren't subjective. An actor either is or isn't in a particular movie. A movie either is or isn't being made.
That's why you don't see "submitted by" next to an actor's credits or a film on IMBD. Because that information can and will be verified by IMDB staff and confidently posted on the website to be searched by casting directors, directors, producers, and other industry profesionals who use IMDB every day to search for an actor's credits.
That's why it takes about 4 weeks for a credit to be posted on IMBD. Because it has to be verified first.
So Smitty, if you really want to impress us, how about you submit Waterworld 2 as being "announced" and it's going to star Kevin Costner, Beyonce Knowles, and Lindsay Lohan.
If you can get that posted on IMDB you can be my hero too.
(You will also be the hero of milions of struggling actors who can now use IMDB to beef up their resumes with fake credits.)

lulu, your inside knowledge of the inner workings of Hollywood and websites such as IMDb, though passionate and heartfelt, doesn't mean much to the people on this board. What is important to the posters (and lurkers) of peel is whether or not a Futurama movie is officially, without question, greenlit and moving into actual production. And the answer to that is no. Despite what IMDb says. But, that doesn't mean it won't happen. Chances are good that it will.
In the mean time, (and this is for everyone, not just lulu) I'd wouldn't take anything you read about it on the internet too seriously -- unless it comes from a Variety or Hollywood Reporter article quoting Matt, DXC, or FOX.
Or from yours truly!
Wanna get a drink sometime? (That isn't for everyone, just lulu.)
