I've obtained a few episodes of Futurama in French.  Does anyone know if there are subtitles / transcripts for it anywhere? I've looked, to no avail.

You want scripts in French or English?

Googling for "Futurama fr" gave me some results:

There are some on the French Planet Futurama: http://www.cartoonesque.com/futurama/soustitre.php

click on francais and you'll get a directory listing. At the bottom are directories for each airing season.

These transscripts are written in a more or less weird way however. That's because they are meant to be the subtitles for the DVDs.

Alors repond, tu les veux en français ou en anglais tes sous-titres?

No really if you want them in English, check out Can't get enouph Futurama or maybe The Leela Zone.

If you want them in French, then I don't know. If I had more time, maybe I could translate them but it would take so long to do it.

Edit:Ah Crud, germanfryfan beat me to it. Nevermind my reply.

Yeah, GFF always does that. It's like he just sits around looking for opportunities to be helpful.

Second!

Thanks a lot! I was indeed looking for French subtitles (not translations -- I just suck at comprehending spoken French ).  :hmpf:

How did you come to have those French episodes, anyway? Do you already own the episodes in English? Or is it for some assignment in French class or something? BTW: that would rock, translating Futurama for a foreign language class. My friend did that in her Spanish class. I was so jealous. ^_^

You can also get futurama DVDs with French subtitles by buying European released of futurama DVDs, but the problem is you can only do that 4 times in your pc to unlock the software that controls the different zone of DVDs over the world.

Otherwise you could bring your DVD machine to service and have it permanently unlock, but you need to pay service fee though.

I thought about that, with my english dvd's, but my player also happens to be my x-box and the tech said it could screw up my x-box. I guess I just have to continue to sit and stare at my foreign dvds
