Yes, maybe if they had stopped making the Star Trek movies after #2, David A... but I believe "the one outweighing the many" was the entire reasoning behind Kirk and company stealing a starship and going to search for Spock. Remember?

And Unknown, I know you were responding to the topic. I was just making a joke, damb it!  We good.

Oh, and dr. bender nye rocks. Thanks dr. for the awsome thread.

Me love bugger all.  :laff: Oh my.

I just thought of something; if Trek fanatics are called Trekkies, what are we called? Ramas? Futuries?

In order to stay on-topic, what's it worth to me? Futurama makes me want to be an animator on it's staff when it re-airs. I love it.

What I mainly remember about Star Trek III was that the hot Vulcan chick played by Kirstie Alley had mysteriously turned into a somewhat less hot Vulcan chick played by some other actress.

Anyway, Kirk would say anything at all that sounded like a justification for doing whatever he felt like.  Ever notice how he only ever mentioned the Prime Directive when it was to his advantage to follow it?  If he wanted to violate the Prime Directive, he'd just go ahead and do so.

Futurama fans are most often called "dorks" but will also respond to "Don't touch that!" and occationally "Put it back".
