What I mainly remember about
Star Trek III was that the hot Vulcan chick played by Kirstie Alley had mysteriously turned into a somewhat less hot Vulcan chick played by some other actress.
Anyway, Kirk would say anything at all that sounded like a justification for doing whatever he felt like. Ever notice how he only ever mentioned the Prime Directive when it was to his advantage to follow it? If he wanted to violate the Prime Directive, he'd just go ahead and do so.
