Quick Futurama Message on [adult swim] Did anyone catch it??

An ATHF plot stupid? Perish the thought, puny mortal. ^_^ I'm actually kinda glad and mildly disappointed that ATHF has never had a Futurama reference. (Or at least, not to my knowledge.)

 

Although this might not be the right place to ask this, in TFH FAQ, they talk about when you become Starship Captain, you can name your ship. How do you do that?

But anyway, in reference to the ship-naming question: The simple answer is...I dunno. The speculative answer is that perhaps you put it in your sig? I wouldn't know, I think this is the kinda thing people on here have forgotten about. Sorta like career chips. Or maybe it's in your profile? Hopefully a mod can answer this soon.

Also, it appears we are teetering toward the dismal abyss of the black hole of off-topic terror. Perhaps a new thread is in order?

I was watching Family Guy tonight (there was nothing else on!) and a little message popped up from AS.

Starting Monday, Futurama and Family Guy are switching times. Futurama at 11, Family Guy at 11:30. Something amazing like this hasn't happened since we did it...3 months ago

I don't know what this means for you, but it's good for me, because I like Futurama earlier.

Then it continued with "Do you want to make a Futurama episode?" It was pretty funny, basically telling you to become friends with talented nerds so the episode isn't crap.

So, huzzah! We have some publicity. Maybe some Family Guy people will miss the announcement and convert to Futurama. Who knows? Just wanted to let you guys know.

I saw that as well. I thought it was pretty funny; especially the crappy Leela drawing.  We should get the best artists, actors and fic writers on PEEL together and create an episode. Then somebody can sneak into a FOX broadcast station and air the episode secretly! Sock it to 'em...

IDEA! Write to Matt Groening. Tell him to either:
A--Have a whole episode with Milhouse trying to get Futurama back.
B--Turn in a Futurama episode to Fox and have them play it without knowing it's Futurama.
Or somebody could just go to the Fox Broadcasting center and put in a Futurama tape in the slot for another show, something nobody would care about...The Simple Life 3.

I love the switch. This one person in my school converted to Futurama after seeing I, Roommate or The Series Has Landed, don't remember. Great! And the best part: My mom won't get mad at me for staying up late to watch TV because it'll be on at 11 instead of 11:30! And unlike the other times, this will be good for Fut., bad for F.G. FG already has ratings going down, while Futurama's is at best ever. [as] is probally thinking this may help FG.

Actually, that's how I got into Futurama. My friend showed me Family Guy, and I wanted to watch it again (months later, because I forgot about FG) and found Futurama. I'd seen bits and pieces, but never a full episode. So I stayed and watched. Liked it better, and here I am.

Apparently, Andy started another thread about creating our own Futurama episode, wonder where he got the idea from...
