I remember a scene early in the show (it had to be before dec 2000 because I quoted it in a paper I wrote in college) where Fry is in a bar and he's talking to a guy with a watch that tells who won the world series. Fry asks and the guy says random team names for a few and then just says "robots, robots, robots." I don't think I was hallucinating this scene but I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and I have never seen this scene. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It is quite possible it wasn't Futurama and for some reason I remember it as Fry asking but I don't think this is the case (It does remind me of the scene where Fry talks with the girl from the 21st C so that might be where I'm getting confused).

Hmm... that realy confuses me... I can't remember such a scene either, although I saw all 72 eps and the cut-scenes. It was possibly a mix up like you suggested.

Welcome to Peel jhachat  :)

Was it in one of the comics, maybe?  Usually, when we have something like this, it's from the comics (or the person asking the question is just an insane hallucinator who's on drugs or somethng  :p ).  Anywho, welcome to PEEL, and etc.

I must say I'm curious about the paper in which you quoted it. What could it be about? Robots, robots, robots?

Oh, right, welcome to the Prisoners of Experimental Earthly Lamentations.

The paper I used the quote in was for a film class.  The paper was about the movie Alphaville which has that scene where the main computer interrogates Lemmy and it made me think of this non-existent scene in futurama(for some reason).  Incidentally, I used a few other random examples from comics as well which I thought were great but I don't think the professor shared my opinion.  And to answer Zoidberg227 it wasn't from the comics because I've only read a couple of the comics and that has been within the last year or so.  I really appreciate all the feedback but I wish I knew where it came from.
