Over the years, FOX has had contests for The Simpsons (obviously), King of the Hill, and even Malcolm in the Middle and I think Arrested Development has one too.

What I'm saying is, when Futurama was on FOX, there was never some kind of contest you can enter, and win prizes, and maybe a walk-on role or something like that.   It would've been cool if FOX had some type of contest where you can send in your own Futurama episode.

i dont know about sending in your own episode. i mean, no offense to fanfics people have written, but all the ones i have read were... lacking something. it's hard to put my finger on it, but they just didn't feel like real episodes.

and you have to remember, FOX didn't just not do certain types of advertisements, they just DIDN'T advertise it. if they had, futurama might have become, god forbid, a popular show!  [/sarcasm]

I want a realistic, down-to-earth show that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots.  Also, you should win things by watching.

Seriously, though, a contest might have been nice.  Maybe you could have won a replica of the Planet Express building, like they did with the Simpsons' house a few years ago.

I could picture a contest where the winner gets to be a random head in a jar.

I'd enter.
