I would have said 8, but knowing FOX, that's not likely. Plus, I don't want Futurama to sink to the depth of how 'The Simpsons' is now. After the four seasons, yearly movies would be good.

--8-- O_0  ??!
Man it's WAY too much!
I said 2 because a GOOD show can't be eternal.  Take the SIMPSONS.  It's good, but it's not good as it was!

How about "it was canceled so stop making stupid polls about when/how/if it will come back"?

It should have stayed on the air until it jumped the shark.

Cool site laroquettespine, although they did call Leela, Layla. Anyways I voted for 2 more seasons.  I don't want it to start getting stupid like the Simpson.

After a few seasons, it would not be as good as it was.But a few more seasons would be nice.

Make us.  I mean, seriously, do any of us have anything better to do?  Obviously not you, otherwise you wouldn't sit around ridiculing us.  Anyway, three sounds like a good number (we don't want it turning into The Simpsons,) though 1 or 3 movies would perhaps work just as well.

Don't act like I'm the first to put down hopes... :hmpf:

There should at least be one thread for the "Thoughts on the return of Futurama"

I don't know. The last episode was my least favorite, but the series feels complete as it is. I don't think it needs any more episodes.

For the record, any topic relating to new episodes is either hypothetical or a lie and currently locked. Don't get bent out of shape over a, "What if", question.

Yea, but Jicannon is only pointing out that there is way to many "What if Futurama came back", "What would you do if there were more Episodes", "How many more seasons", and many more threads relating to this topic. I want it to come back and have feelings it will in some way but I don't make threads related to that subject.

On Topic now, I think 4 new seasons would be cool.

What about this one. It has other poll options but they aren't any more or less stupid.   ;)

Whats funny about that link you posted GFF, is that my post on that thread was like my second post here at PEEL. Ah, the memories.

I wouldn't bump that thread. DavidCohens1fan and futuramaisok were both pretty notorious trolls. They basically ruined the thread. You should have seen some of the other threads they started...

Yes, I remember seeing that thread shortly after I registered, I didn't bother coming back for 4 months.

I voted for 8 more seasons, I don't think futurama would go the way of the simpsons, theres only so much you can do with a suburban family (even when you push the boundaries of reality), but with futurama they can do anything, thanks to its futuristic setting, and therefore never run out of good storylines.

This opinion is subject to change after I've seen the last few episodes of season 5.

I think they only need 2 more seasons, this would tie up some loose ends (like why did Nibbler refer to Leela as "the other" in "WOF"; get Leela and Fry together for crying out loud!). I do not want to see Futurama stay too long. heck, even a couple of movies would be a good fix for me..........

"The other" was just a person that is predestined to give Fry the incentive to save the universe. That's why when he mentioned that Leela was his reason for doing so, Nibbler instantly knew she was "the other".

Oh sure, just dash all our conspiracy theories...

That's the most reasonable explanation, and therefore, probably wrong.  It's one of the few things we have left to speculate about, so don't be going all logical on us.

According to one post there, Futurama has jumped the shark after "They did it (Fry and Leela)".

Am I missing something here?

I voted for 4 more seasons.  This way here, we get the best of both worlds.  More new episodes but it will be gone before it gets old and tired (like some other animated series.   But of course if the staff were able to keep it funny and interesting, then certainly I'd vote for 8 more seasons!  :D

@Idan: Nope, the simply poster thought the events in AOI 1 was real.

JumpTheShark.com is not a place known for it's intelligent comments about shows (just look at the number of people voting "Jumped on Day 1" for various shows (including DS9 :rolleyes: ), it ranks slightly above the FUX forums.
