Is it true that the characters that are the main characters doubles the original designs of Fry,Leela,Zoidberg, etc.? The characters are from The Farnsworth Parabox

No.  You can check out the original designs on the season one dvd.  The "Parabox" ones are just differently colored versions that help the viewer distinguish between them in the episode.

Elements of the original designs have shown up though.  For instance, I believe child-Bender had the "ear" antenaes from his original design in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles".

And that early "sport utility" robot in Crimes of the Hot that resembled some old Bender designs. But, yes, I second DtB. The Universe 1 crew were the regular crew in crazy colors, not relics from the early stages of production.

There may still be a chance that early on while they had the characters designed, they still didn't have the finished colors, and that's where the Parabox characters came from. Look at Scruffy in A Fishful of Dollars with his brown hair.

Look at him in 300 Big Boys with his purple hair.  Maybe he just likes a change now and then.
