Here's the latest from The Comics Continuum...

"FUTURAMA COMICS #7

By Rogers, Delaney and Morrison.

By now, readers are familiar with the story of Phillip J. Fry and how he found his way to the 30th century by way of an ill-fated pizza deliver What if … everything readers knew is different? What if … instead, Fry, a man destined to change the course of human history, is, in fact, being pursued by a deadly robotic bending unit from the far-flung future bent on termination, and his only hope is a one-eyed, ass-kickin', alien beauty. Or is it?

32 pages, $2.50."

Ok, as most of you know, I don’t like half ass answers... so I called up bongo comics, talked to terry who is a managing editor, and he said that #6 was skipped by a month because they couldn’t release it in time for the release date (which would have been September 26th) But he said that this wont keep going on, and after #7, they will be back to normal going every other month.  While I was talking to terry, I asked a couple of other questions because I am a nosy littler freak that likes lots of info, and I asked him about an AOI comic series and why they didn’t make one.  He said that they pitched it to matt groening, but he loved all 3 stories so much that he told them to make it a 3 comics instead of one big comic book.  so #7 of futurama comics is actually the first story from AOI1 comic form.  And #8 is the second story, as is #8 of the 3rd story.  Pretty weird eh?

I also asked him if futurama comics will go monthly any time soon, and  he said that they wont because futurama comics are much harder to make because of detailed backgrounds and the fact that they only have a couple of very good artist working on the futurama comics.

I asked about spin off comics, and he said that it would be cool to have bender comics or something like that, buts for know there are no plans and they just need to let the comics and show revolve a little more before they do other comic titles.

As for a complete guide to futurama (ep guide) they will make it, but they just need to wait a while to get stuff figured out and start production on it.  And as for futurama books, same answer.

Btw, #6 of futurama comics will be released on the 24th of THIS MONTH!   :D

I'll be updating my site soon with this info, btw.
