I am looking for a certain piece of the Futurama Soundtrack. I searched half the net and all of this forum already, but I haven't found anything yet, not even a clue. The piece, or rather bit of music, is played on various instances during the show, but always in either romantic, sad, or serious scenes which typically involve Fry and Leela. Examples are 1AC02, The Series Has Landed, when Fry and Leela are trapped in the old Lunar Lander, and he tells her how he dreamt of becoming an astronaut and flying to the moon back in the 20th century. The piece can also be heard in 1AC07, My three Suns. The Water People or whatever they are called try to kill Fry to retrieve their emporer, Lela comes to his help but is surrounded and outnumbered. She fights bravely and manages to break through, but in order to make him cry, Bender tells Fry that the Water People got Leela and that she is dead. Fry breaks down and says something to the extent of "All she ever wanted to do was help me" and "I wish I was dead instead". While he says these words the music I am so desperately looking for plays, and when Leela enters the room, it stops. The music can also be heard somewhere in "A Flight to remember" and "Love and Rocket", but I forgot the exact scenes. Please help.

I know the tune you mean, and I believe gotfuturama.com has a selection of quotes from this episodes, which may have that little bit of music in the background. If that doesn't help... I'm stuck.  :hmpf:

itll be hard to find as it is a piece of music composed by futuramas chris tyng, i am fairly sure that it is a one off piece written only for the show, so it wont have a name and will not have a full version, but i may be wrong

Well, thanks for your help so far. Are you sure that is doesn't have a full version? What do the others think?

Well, I have to agree with bish, I think. This piece of music is probably composed by Chris Tyng only for the show.
There might be a full version, but it won't be official available and is probably keept in a shelf at "The Curiosity Company" or "RoughDraft".

I can provide you soundbits of the scenes you mentioned, but there is allways too much speech above the music.  :hmpf:

It's too bad Chris doesn't have a website.  I myself like to get TV show music and sometimes the composers will give out some master tracks.

Futurama typically has short bits in each episode, so some of the master tracks would be real short clips.  It also seems nothing gets fully recycled, except for the opening and closing themes.  A lot of the quick tunes for shots of the Planet Express building seem similar in episodes, but not the same.

If Chris does have a website (and I'm just not informed), what's the address?
