What do you want to see in Season 4?

I'd like a realistic, down-to-Earth show that's totally off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots. And you should win stuff by watching.

I know that's just a Simpsons reference, but I agree. I want to see the show explore some more scifi concepts, with crazy adventures on far-off planets. But still keeping the emotional aspects they showed us in season 3.

Yes....they should have an episode where they give a bunch of stuff away. Like... I dunno, find stuff wrong in the ep (The Drew Carey Show does this). Write it all down and send it in...the people with the most correct win! Yep..

I'm Back.

Season 4, should concentrate more on the other PE crew characters and less on Leela, Fry and Bender, although the chances of that happening are somewhere between 0 and .5! 

The Leela Fry relationship should be given a Season off at least.

Like it or not, we're gonna see more of Bender, Leela, and Fry compared to the rest of the crew. Bender, in particular, is an easy character to revolve stories around, and he's involved in most of the jokes on the show.

It's no different than how on the Simpsons, Homer and Bart are featured a lot more than Lisa and Marge. The Simpsons writers have exploited this trend themselves, however. Remember the episode where Homer becomes a trucker or when Bart and Homer go to the Super Bowl?

I hope we don't get to see more Fry Romance in season 4. He had too many of them.
Give more Leela Bender, Amy and Zoidberg romance.

How about less romance and more dying.  Maybe we can see an episode where they all die for no apparent reason.  Then they come back by using a time machine the professor invented and live in the future.  See it would be awsome if they lived in the future.

Yeah, and they had a futuristic space ship in which they made deliveries to like the Moon and Mars, and everybody rode hoverbikes and they took tubes instead of the subway, and they all ate at a resteraunt owned by a 4-armed purple guy . . .

Gee, I sure wish there was a show like that. Maybe with an obnoxious drunken robot, a poverty-stricken lobsteroid, a senile old scientist, a hot Asian babe, a one-eyed space chick, a stupid guy from the past, and an anal-retentive Rasta...

Too bad there's nothing like that on TV.

More adventures, more action, more deleveries.... less romance.  I would aslo agree with having other supporting characters get more airtime rather than Fry, Leela, and Bender

But I think that in the next season there should be an entire episode recounting Zap's career and of course, more amy wong. You can't go wrong with Wong!

How would that work?  If they're dead, a time machine ain't gonna help.  Besides, the Professor's last attempt at a time machine set him back 15 years.

You all know what I wanna see, but I'm posting it anyway.  I think that the romance should still be apparent, but toned down a bit.  Y'know, teasing like in Season 2.  I'd also like to see a parody of some big sci-fi movie.  Maybe A.I. and Bender wanting to be human.  That'd be interesting.  But the romance part would be my main concern, seeing as it always is.

I agree w/ BBT.  Don't get rid of the romance, just tone it down.  Don't make Fry so incredibly pathetic.  Explore some other romantic plots, at least.  And I wanna know about Farnsworth's past, more than the 3 min thingy in A Clone of My Own.

well, I'd like to see the third season fist, but in the fourth season, I'd like to see  the professor getting some romantic action

Yeah I'd like to see more of the Professor too. But nothing like the Mom/Farnsworth thing, because that was just nasty. A flashback episode could be cool.

I'd like to see a lot more Zapp Brannigan in season 4, less romance - or better and more funny romance. A better timeslot which doesn't interfere with your NFLs timeslot, and a greater variety of episodes, what made most of us curse whas, that there were so many "romantic" episodes in a row.

So first of all: do a better job Fox!

Five episodes, and she had to share two with Fry and one with a scene-hogging Bender.

Zoidberg's been getting more lines lately, but his one spotlight episode, That's Lobstertainment!, also fell victim to Bender's scene-stealing.

The only episodes that really focus on the crew are War is The H-Word (Fry, Bender, and Leela in equal portions) and Amazon Women in the Mood (featuring the whole crew, with a rare moment in the sun for Amy.)

It's not a new trend. Season 2 had a lot of Bender and romance episodes too.

Romance:

A Flight To Remember
X-mas Story (well, kinda...it wasn't really about romance, but it had Fry/Leela teasing)
Crustacean In Love
Head On My Shoulder
Bicyclops Built For Two
How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back(eh, kinda)
Deep South
Mother's Day
and of course AOI had the hot Leela/Fry sex

Bender:

I Second That Emotion
A Head In The Polls
Lesser of Two Evils
Raging Bender
Bender Gets Made

Even if you want to be strict about what's classified as romance, that's 11 out of 20(plus two of the season 3 episodes you mentioned were produced in season 2).

The show has stayed consistent in that area...I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
