Love this one. In my opinion it was up at the top of season 3. Not The very top, but top.
It just had the right (fast) pace, which i missed with some of the other love-driven episodes in season 3.
Hey, even my brother and dad enjoyed this one  ;)

Therefore, my rating: 5 stars out of 5

I gave it 4. Some of the time jumps were kinda obvious, but anything with the Harlem Globetrotters is great. "You KNOW my calculus was all razzle-dazzle!" Oh, and Amy was naked again. Always a plus.  :D

I declare this episode one of the best ever.

Harlem Globetrotters=rocks
Cartoon nudity=rocks
Marv Albert=rocks

Some of the time jumps were a little obvious, but I liked them...it was a clever way to keep the story moving foward, without having to go through the more boring plot points. Plus the Britney Spears-type girl found dead in the bathtub made me laugh a lot.

The only thing that brings it down is the "sweet" ending which wasn't as cool as Parasites Lost or Fryrish(though Bender's solemn humming was funny).

Such a great episode...I only wish my fat, ugly mama were around to see it.

#1- "=" trademark Me
#b- the humming was possibly the best thing ever.  seriously.
#III- the "bender's lifelong dream of being a _(fill in the blank)_" is wearing thin.  I curse my massive brain power that I am no longer excited by these plots week after week.  And the dissapointment and let down he experiences weekly are a real downer.  I fear for people like Juliet's happiness.

other things:
I rock, globetrotters rock, though they work better in scooby doo.  (*sigh* those were the days)... um other stuff.  leela's wedding dress was so damn fugly, i'm glad it didn't work out, she doesn't deserve to get married if she decides to go out in public like that.

This episode was ok not great, the naked congo line was good, but Fry is getting a bit too desperate and sentimental, he is acting like Leela is the only hot babe in the universe.
The single stupidest thing Fry has ever done was dumping Amy cos he liked Leela more, as the old saying goes `one birds bush is better than 2 birds in the bush`.

I think it was fairly good.. up near the top.. but about the pace.. I think it was too fast for my simple little mind, but that's just me so you can completely disregard what I say...ah well.. other than that it was just peachy  :)

I thought it was one of the best episodes this season.  It was fast-paced, the Globetrotters were cool and the time-skips were funny, and it managed to have a serious ending without getting cheesy.  I give it a five.

The best episode ever!  I love this eppy so much, 'cos I'm THE shipper.  Yeah, it was sad and I bawled at the end(Well, technically I started crying at "Fine. Break my heart again.&quot ;) but I loved it!  I think it's really sweet the way he actually has feelings for her and doesn't think of her as just a sex object like Morgan or Amy.  I think he's hurt by being rejected mercilessly, and that it'll end up going back to teasing like in Season 2 and Leela making the next move.  Oh, and "So he's not perfect?  You don't wanna end up old and lonely like Zoidberg!"  I couldn't have put it better myself.  Leela needs to get off her high horse and just accept him.  He's much better than Adlai or even worse, Zapp.  ::Theta shudders::  But it'll happen.  I think it was some great poster at THJ who said, "The odds of Fry ending up with Leela are a billion to one.  So it's bound to happen."
Okie dokie, I'm really tired so I gotta log off.  Peaces and Yvan Eht Nioj!

Looove this ep!!!

Not only the Leela/Fry-thing (Although I adore Fry to behave this way), also Harlem Globetrotters and:

"How was this supposed to work??!"

  :D nearly everybody, I think, knows what I´m talkin´about...!

A classic. How could you not laugh at the "And now, for no reason..." line from the Globetrotters?

That time skipping thing was a great way to just zoom through the episode.

I loved this episode as well.  I think I remember many people bashing it when it first came out a few months ago though.  The tone was great and really balanced well, I thought.  And the Globe Trotters thing was a great reference to all those horrible, yet oh-so-irresistible Scooby Doo type Hanna-Barbera 'Toons of the 1970's.

I LOVE LEELA

Absolutely fantastic episode.

A triumph for Christopher Tyng - it had the most beautiful score (particularly after Bender is denied membership of the Globetrotters) for twenty years.

A great episode which I would give 4/5 in my opinion. A very original idea which is hard to pull of these days and some of those time slips were really funny even if they didn't all make sense.

My favourite episode. What I like about it is the fact that the timeskips usually aren't the joke in and of themselves, but as a method for reaching punchlines as quickly as possible, thus allowing this ep to be PACKED with jokes. They aren't all fantastic, but this ep has the highest concentration of hilarious moments for any ep as far as I'm concerned. GREAT lines, GREAT sight gags, GREAT concept. It's just fantastic! A+

One of Season 3's best. It simply has such a magnificent story, feeled with great jokes and satire. I agree that the Bender part, spoiled it a bit, but nothing could take it away from being so damn good!

Fry and Bender were so pathetically funny, for their fruitless admiration.

it was quite a fashion outing for the girls in this ep., or the lack there of ;P.

i really liked leela in her 'summer' outfit in the beginning. the cute beige top, red shorts and the hibiscus in the hair. and then there's Amy's 'time-skipper' gear during the game.

Although I did believe that the Marv Albert impression that John Dimaggio did on the Audio commentary was better though!
Also the ending was really cool with Bender whistleing!

this is definately my favorite episode of season 3, and one of my top episodes of the series, if not the top.

for those of you that said it moved too fast, they mention on the commentary, that's one of the reasons they liked this episode. they can fit in so much more, plus they can have a lot of "one setup line, punchline" jokes, such as "When we're together, baby, time will stand still-- *time skip* oowwww..."
