Well, the sections is still there. If you're referring as to why there haven't been any further updates on that section, it's because Scotty has gone missing, so it's not currently being maintained. Maybe if someone can come up with a good one (I mean a good one, BTW), it'll go up and the writer credited.

At least Leandro's working on the scripts. Now I'm currently working on my fanfic "Sailing A-Weight" which I will post to the Futurama Madhouse message board and This one on the Fanfic/fanarts section. Once the scripts are fixed, my fanfic is going to Futurama Madhouse.

The Fan Fiction section is actually up, with most of the files already reconstructed. However, I'm on a 56k modem and uploading 15MB of files was a pain, so I want to check that they're all THERE before re-opening the section 'for real'.

Well, there is a way you can help -- I could tell the server to create a tar.gz file with all the HTML files currently on the server, and you could download that one (would be around 6 megs) and uncompress it, then run a little program I'd make to make sure all the files end with <!--#include virtual="/tlzright.html"--> (the magic line at the end of every file on TLZ that lets me know the files uploaded completely and correctly).If you're up to it, send me an email and I'll give you the details and program back via email: leandrotlz@gmail.com

I hope they fix that problem. I still read a good number of your fanfics. I miss the time of the Golden Age of Futurama fanfics. Summer of 2003, where we had great writers writing regularly, Kryten, Allen, myself, Officer 1BDI and others. It is a shame most of us don't write anymore. I had to retire due to other commitments.

OK, while Leandro does battle with his script, I've decided to recreate the Fan Fiction section from what was on my HD at the time of the Great Struggle Against the Script Monster. There might be some fics missing, the page might look ropey, and the scoring is still there, but I suspect all you want is to be able to easily read the fictions that are already up.If you do send in fictions, don't expect them to go up before the scripts are finished. The resurrected Fan Fiction section is only temporary and just for reading what was already up. Sorry for the delay.

Actually, us other webmasters beat Leandro into submission Well, not quite like that. The scripts were taking too long, so while a script may return later, we've decided to go back to it the old fashioned way for the moment rather than delay any longer. Still, Leandro deserves a lot of kudos indeed for sticking with the frustrations for as long as he has. So I hope you all appreciate us using flint and steel, wood and stone, bricks and mortar, to build the fanfic section while we lug the boulders that are your stories uphill for you now.

It takes a time to do all that beta stuff and what not and then they have to upload it. These things take time. They're trying their bests, you should all respect that. I completely agree with your post and to be frank, an email I got from Teral this weekend mentioned the fact that he's worked nearly 60 hours this week. TLZ Admin have to make a living too, and in my experience of contributing to TLZ for the last four and a half years (admittedly I haven't submitted anything in quite a fair while) - they lead pretty hectic lives away from the Internet. But eventually, trust me, you will get your art/fic up there. But if I'm brutally honest, and I mean no offence Pedro, but I think a redesign is fairly low on their priorities. 'Course, it'd be nice to see one if they did do one, but, like I say, the whole busy, hectic lives thingy. [This message has been edited by Zed 85 (edited 06-19-2006).]
