I see it more and more nowadays...sites in the fan community are becoming more predictable in terms of looks and design. I welcome any new site that has its own original content, but I think even these sites deserve an extra "oomph" in their design. Aren't there many Futurama fans that have a good edge on graphic design? That's hard to believe. The fan community can look big and flashy and still be a fan community.

What I am hoping to do in this post is at least bring the attention of those with some good knowledge in design to help out other sites in the community. I am well-experienced in site design. So is The Voices, Cellery, and probably several other people here I'm not aware of.

There are many of us that are too busy to put up a site and to maintain its content. Why not let one do all of the content and the other decide how it's presented? IMHO, the content guy will be the real webmaster and hence, owns the site himself, but the designers will be given credit for their work. I hope people would be generous enough to let others help them in areas that they are lacking.

So what you're saying is that you can't be assed in regards to decent content, but want to make some pretty pictures anyway?

Its hard not to be un-original when making a Futurama site. I mean, many Futurama websites have kick-ass designs that work well, and these designs are often changed from one kick-ass design to another. No-one copies web-sites, but why not follow the same "genre" of design if it works well and looks good.
To be honest, of topics I've searched for on the internet, Futurama and the Simpsons tend to generally have the best designs.
That might not have made sense, so if you dont understand it it will be my fault.

And JC - on your idea - that's kind of whats going on at TLZ eh?
