Hypnobrecky - him tell plain truth - 'General Fan Art' thread for all-comers. Him just prolific talent, make speedfreak look slackerlike.

We all too old for pseudo-quasi-porny-pics now, but I like tell self I could still hack it sometime...

Worship to Zed for eye-fooling graphics effects and artgenre crossovering, worship to professor Zoidy for heartclawing beauty image and zen-clean lining.

Thanks Marcus, my worship to you too

@Xanfor: That's slightly bizarre but oh so awesome!

Thought I'd repost this, considering I did this "while we were away". I proposed, in the ongoing debate on what plane Archonix should draw, that if needs be I should draw Leela with an Su-27 Flanker.
And so, for those who missed it:

I used to be able to draw properly, years and years ago. I think I've lost the knack.

I really ought to practice more.

I remember that scene... Sweetly done, Trickster

By way of contrast, a pic with no redeeming features whatsoever. But _I_ like it!

The more perceptive of you (i.e. everyone) will doubtless have realised it's not a complete pic - I touched up and cut down a ruder version, chiefly because I really, really like L's underarm hair in this one. Comments and (justified) sneering welcome

Well the pose is nice, but I suspect her armpit is a wee bit too far along her arm.

I was more concerned with the left (as we look at it) breast and arm, but I think you're right - I've always found it tricky to line up any arm(s)-raised pose correctly.

Fortunately, easy enough to experiment with, I'll see if I like a different placement better

Marcus! Great to see you, and you've bought some art with you.

Leela must not have trimmed her pits in years to have growth like that. Sweaty boot rash probably isn't the only body odor control problem she has...

A) hot
B) getting married (not to me!)
C) non-shaver of armpits
D) lesbian

Hypothetically, I could get so very, very conflicted at work... )

Dani and Marcus, there's nothing wrong with hairy pits, but I'm a middle-aged, middle-America chap who is use to and enjoys shaved pits.

Marcus, the gal at work - you could try the line, "I'm a male lesbian," and see how far that gets you. Hopefully a laugh and a beer. At worst, a broken jaw and a month in traction.

Dani, it will a lot more than that to leave my mind broken (if what I call a mind isn't already broken into a thousand shards).

I know of a butch lesbian at work who has the most impressive flannel shirt collection known to mankind. Even the do-rag she wears is flannel.

"Combat boot, flannel shirt alert!"

Real interesting stuff in here.... very interesting scene you've created there trickster... and as always, your talent and imagination conspire within you Zed to create awesome pieces. I even like Xanfor's doodle... it seems to anxious and chaotic. I won't say much about the armpit picture Marcus, but the pose is done well, as is your previous picture.... You seem to have the form down well.

Hey, Corvus - good to see you're still net-alive too ! (stopped my connection as I wasn't using teh intertubes enough to justify it, btw - new job, was still getting the work/types-of-leisure balance right).

And cheers, winna Every so often I like to make sure I can still draw, knock the rust off.

Unless an outrageously cool idea presents itself, I usually focus on something _I'd_ want to see someone do. Like a big ole bushy armpit on Leela... (or else summat v. simple, like a straightforward nude)

Yeah, so... here's Farscape.

*

http://coldangel1.deviantart.com/art/Farscape-quot-Frelling-dren-quot-80123911

*

The show has a lot of primary characters.
That's not even all of them. :/

I feel that once again I've tried to do too much, and it's ended up looking like utter dren. Too many people, all bunched up.
If I do another Farscape pic I'll just go for two or three characters in a simpler and better pic.

I'm disappointed by this because it looks nowhere near as good as I wanted after having taken way too long to do because of computer frell-ups amd complicated alien designs...

I also think you have got the likeness of Crichton down pretty well. I see you have also gone for a post series one colouring of Dargo.

Always thought of doing a more extensive picture of a Futurama parody of Futurama. Would need to find someone for Commandant Cleavage (maybe Morgan, both abitious and would do anything to progress)

Nice picture none the less.

I'm most impressed with your Crichton - not only does it look like him, but the expression makes him stands out without being a humdrum 1000-yard-stare. (Ben Browder's not got a really memorable face that's easily cartoonised - nothing to hang it on, and no alienese makeup to compensate fot it - so double well done!

(edit: Wu beat me by seconds, but we didn't plan similar praise in advance, honestly!)

She has distinct features that, while not classically beautiful on their own, combine to make her a very striking woman who is very attractive but hard to convey in a drawing.
