You are right, Archonix, Fry does look like David Bowie. Maybe I need to go back and make his eyes heterochromatic (though in Bowie's case that was an injury that made his eyes different colors).

Have you ever tried to nail a piece of wood to a concrete floor? Believe me, a nailgun is the answer to a prayer if you have to do that.

Obviously you've never watch home construction.

A lot of buildings have a concrete slab for a floor. To be able to build a wood frame around the building, the botom of the wood frame has to be nailed to the concrete slab.

It's not an easy thing to do...

At some point I realised that finding jobs would be easier if I looked in the wanted ads rather than a field, too.

By cripes, they were not toys. They took a load of about a hundred nails at a time, and could push an 80mm nail right into solid wood. We even had to get a new compressor as the old one didn't have enough grunt.

You could hold the trigger down and bounce it over the wood, the safety catch on the business end making it go off.

Then again, pallet after pallet after pallet (ad infinitum), even the coolest nailgun got boring after a while...
