And since I was absent for a while, I hadn't read all of it either. Great story, I never realised you posted your others here. Before I joined PEEL, I read all your fics from The Leela Zone. So now I'm here, I know what everyone else thinks! It was an awesome fan fic. How the hell do you do it?!

Yeah, I'll have to make sure that Coldy is listed somewhere in this year's PEELies. Since Venus won last years fan fic award, this year it should go to Coldangel.------------------ If Homer Simpson and Al Bundy had a kid, it would be me. Ralph Snart - anti-shipper and Leela-hater.

What I really enjoyed about this last one is how much it made me think. It was clever and intricate and well-written - plus, bonus! Illustrated, too! (I love me some fics with pics... ) But at the same time, it was funny in the way it pointed things out. (I'm thinking of the "When was your eye that color? Wasn't it a dot in a circle before" and the "HOW many fingers?" bit.) quote: Since Venus won last years fan fic award, this year it should go to Coldangel.

Do you know, that bit about "toil and grime" from that one amazing chapter still comes into my mind sometimes. I find that very relevant to a lot of things.

For which story, though? He's got more than one very good one, although I'd list this one as my favorite.

km73 - Really? Awwwwww, I actually made an impression on someone. That makes it all worth it. Reaching just one person is payment enough for all the (nudge) toil in the world.Crash_7 - I think this one is my best. Also my personal favourite. Although the historical scenes in 'A River With Currents' were quite fun to write as well - especially when Fry meets JRR. Tolkien.

You seem to have mistaken me for a common spic. I find that odd, I've never met a spic that could use a computer, much less the internet. If your wetback has stopped working I suggest you have him deported.Perhaps I shouldn't have posted here, I didn't realize this was a circle jerk. I thought it was a place to express one's opinions. I suppose you can continue your circle jerk, try not to get any in your eye.

It's where you all stand in a circle around a jerking stove and jerk your meat. Pork for preference, but any meat can be jerked. I love jerked pork, it's nice and spicy.... I hear it's a lot of fun when everyone gets their meat out and then takes turns to jerk each others meat.[This message has been edited by Archonix (edited 12-11-2007).]

Isn't that just precious? We have another opinionated asshole, with no real opinion worth talking about. Jeez, come on you could at least think of something witty or half decent, not this pile of sh*t you're shoveling. As for the circle jerk, unlike you some people can actually get laid and don't need to join in with one, though I'm sure you and your fellow wankers can find a quiet corner of hell to piss off to *kicks up arse* ------------------ This message was brought to you by the exploding anti-shipper </3

Bump. I just finished this fanfic and it is one of the best fanfics I have ever read. A whole bunch of orginal stuff that I couldnt think of in a million years.
Yes I know this thread is a year old but this thread deserves to be bumped because this fic is sheer awesomeness.

Thanks a bundle! I really appreciate it, and don't worry about bumping - it's nice not to be forgotten. This is the best fanfic I wrote. I considered doing a sequel, but I don't think I could do it justice. Better, I think, to let it stand as it is.

Aw, so the sequel plans have been scrapped?Too bad, but I suppose it would be a pretty massive endeavor, taking into account the large scale of this story.

I had an idea, but it didn't match the grandiose nature of the first story. If I ever come up with something better I might reconsider.

Pity. Your fic's are some of the best I've read, oh keeper of Angelic Cold.If not a sequel, perhaps a prequel?

Tch... The Television show itself is the prequel. Look, if it makes you happy, the first few pages of a sequel are already written, and I have a few solid concepts in mind that I'd like to explore. But like I say, there's not enough to it... not yet. I may return to the project when my other projects inevitably crash and burn.

Just spent all afternoon reading this, and it screwed with my head on several different levels. The shippy bits were the most touching of any ever written (especially Leela placing Fry's hand on her heart - just touched me in a certain way). It would definitely go on an all-time Futurama fanfiction top 10 list. Epic. [This message has been edited by Tornadoboy (edited 04-18-2008).]

*emits a small noise* i can't say it's the coolest thing i've ever read, because it doesn't have any jerkwad metal-worshipping computer hackers.. but.. well, if you would like to see what i looked like while reading, it (quite literally) goes something like this: the consoles exploded because they always do. you make my day.

Glad you liked it, Kim. I rather enjoyed writing it, self-indulgent though it was. It was a great opportunity to cram as many sci-fi references as I could think of.Heh, you really like the Seer, doncha? He was actually an afterthought in Silhouettes, the last character I designed. Cool pic. You see, I told you you have huge eyes. You're a living Manga comic.

the seer is amazing. makes me want a trumpet fanfare for when i do cool stuff.. which is.. seldom.. but he had damn well BETTER be in the next book. or i'll.. i'll hit you. *tries to look threatening*and i'm pretty sure nothing has EVER been written with as many allusions as this, so congratulations. it's simply impossible. you're a steam engine, man. an.. allusive one. wait, that's actually a word? curse your bones, webster! manga, huh? maybe i'll dye my hair pink and walk around with my mouth open like i'm in shock all the time..and could i borrow some superpowers? or perhaps ninja skills?

i need to stare at that sentence for a few hours in order to decide whether i'm just being regularly insulted, or if there's some new exotic gender-mixing smackdown in there. now we must duel, random apostrophe!ah, i probably bring it on myself..

Aww... My intent was to tease. T'would seem my aim was off. quote: Originally posted by sick pickles: ... if there's some new exotic gender-mixing smackdown in there.
No bending of genders, nor smacking-down intended, merely a play on words. And t'was certainly neither new nor exotic. quote: Originally posted by sick pickles: ah, i probably bring it on myself..
Oh my, no. I, on the other hand... Are you acquainted with the phrase "target of opportunity?" Everything I do and say in this forum is intended in good-humor... although I'm told I sometimes 'step over the line' and onto someones' tender digits. No, not that good-humor, this good humor. I, uh, I'll just ooze back out under the door now...
