In a mad fit of schizophrenia, Xanfor has revamped all of his fanatic fictions and moved them to here.

Thank you for your dedication. This thread will now self-destruct.

This whole post has been erased for rewriting. It has come to my attention that the characters were totally unlike what I had originally intended them to be. Well, not entirely unlike, but enough that it was getting confusing while I was writing the sequel. I'll have it back up soon, and while I'm at it, I'll fix up some of the unrealistic plotholes.

Thanks, everybody. Writing fan fiction is kind of my hobby. It's like a riddle, trying to make someone else's characters act the way you want them to.
I'm thinking of writing a sequel. I'd call it 'The One Where Everyone Stumbles Across Finding Ms. Amy Wong As Opposed To Searching'. (It would be a spoof on 'Star Trek III, The Search For Spock')
Thanks, everybody!

this is some amazing writing you've got here xanfor.  I read it all, top to bottom.  It took forever but it was definitely worth it.  I really liked the evil-twin universe.  The characters were well done, especially phillip.  The humor was also really good.  There were alot some show-quality jokes in there   :).  I also liked the idea of Janice being phillip and turanga's daughter, and how having Turanga realise it cracked her resolve at the very last second.  It did seem like at the end things got better a little too quickly, what with Turanga suddenly becoming a good person and all.  Still, it was made up for by Cubert's rant at the end...  Anyway, great work.  I'm looking forward to your next work.

Thanks for the good reviews, everyone. Your view was especially helpfull, soylentOrange. I didn't mean for Turanga to become completely good at the end, though. Certainly she's learned that there's more to life than selfishness, power, and greed, but it's still going to be a long, long while before she'll be able to fit into civilized society.

I was originally going to leave the parallel universe dead, but I decided against it for several reasons. One, Phillip would not have been stupid enough to leave the DOP completely defenseless. Two, any amount of rebels Turanga may have been able to gather still wouldn't have been able to attack more than a few planets. And finally, after I looked back over my semi-final draft, I realized how pathetic it was to have killed an entire universe. Sure, Phillip could forgive Turanga for a lot of things, such as breaking his heart, a few assassinations, the like, but he's not superman. He may be able to forgive harm inflicted against him, but when it hurts somebody else, he can't stand it. Remember how hurt he was when Turanga mentioned how he killed Amy Wong? Remember how Phillip was content to spend his life sadly longing for Turanga, but it was only Leela's comment about other people in the universe not being able to have the one's they loved that sparked him to get to work? Notice how Turanga didn't simply set her sights to kill him after she found out he was still alive. She knew his own death would mean so little to him. So she targeted everybody, in all the universes.

And also keep in mind that Turanga wasn't the only perpetrator of evil in the universe. Everybody was evil, even the Professor and Ms. Wong. (Now as for Bender...) It was only Phillip being able to show them the 'illogic', if you will, of their ways that caused them to change. And of course, everyone knows how stubborn Turanga Leela can be.

But as time went by, she had to marry Phillip to get her green card to keep her from being deported back to the sewers. Then, she felt herself getting closer... and closer... The reason she ordered Phillip to kill Ms. Wong was because Turanga was jealous of her, something she had never felt before. And after seeing Phillip's reaction to having killed his best friend, Turanga again felt something she never had before: Guilt.

By the time she was holding their daughter in her arms, she completely trusted him, and that caused something to click inside her. The power, the greed, the money... For some reason, none of that was important anymore. All that mattered was Phillip and this small tiny creature in her arms... Then, of course, the guards came in and carried her away, leading Turanga to think she'd been decieved, by the one person she finally trusted. The one person she actually let herself admit she loved! Well, that would make anyone mad, but seeing as this is both Turanga Leela and it's taking place in that universe...

But then, the sight of her daughter again, all grown up, and maybe even the way Phillip was acting, caused her simply to break up. Right on the bridge of the Nimbus. And when she finally became able to reason again, she was able to accept the fact that Phillip never actually had meant for any of what happened to happen.

Kind of gives you something to think about.

^ Wow, that was like a story in itself   :).

I really, really enjoyed your story and I agree with everything esso said (that did include the bit about everything suddenly being OK, but you justified it so well that I simply can't argue   ;)).

There's just one little thing... You mentioned at the end that Officer 1BDI's story gave you the idea for Cubert's rant at the end (and I'm glad you did, because when I read it I started to get worried because I thought you were just going to use it without giving credit for it). Now, when you said she gave you the idea...Did she actually give you permission to use it? It's just that even if she did, you pretty much used it exactly as she wrote it, and I really think it would be better if you didn't do that. I'm not having a go at you; trust me, some fanfics ae basically just compilations of parts from other people's, and yours is very original. So don't take that the wrong way.   :)

I really hope you write a sequel (or just any other story). I eagerly await it!   ;)

Wow, that's the nicest review I've gotton so far! I am planning a sequel, but I'm not going to work on it for a while. I have another original 'Futurama' movie script planned.

And as for Cubert's rant. I did rephrase 1BDI's version a bit... But you're right, of course. If you see her (1BDI) around here, could you point her in this direction? You know, just to be safe.

If there's any problem, I'll try and see what I can do to make it 'similar yet legally distinct'.

Oh, wow, I inspired someone.  I feel so honored.     :D

I haven't read the story in full yet (three midterms tomorrow. Ugh.), but I skipped to Cubert's rant at the end, and I have no problem with it, since you credited me for the original scene (which I really, really appreciate, by the way).    :)

Besides, if I ever get around to revamping the Trilogy, I'll probably tweak that scene anyway.   ;)

Aw, never mind. Thanks for reading, and please do give me your full opinion when you're done. I thought I kind of kicked it up a knotch, you know, with that intro... But thanks for reading anyway. So far it seems that not many people have. Well, maybe if I make some art...
If you post it, they will come. I hope.

Hello World! Yes, I know I sound like an beginner's Python or Perl or VB6 script. But anyway, I've just had a brilliant flash of insight into extrapolated plotlines which could arise from this modest, meek, unassuming script. A trilogy, eh? And not one of those 'Back to the Future' type trilogies either, that just tries to tack on to past fame and does a fairly good and lucrative job at it. No, real sequels, hopefully, ones that are... Well, you know, not bad.

Anyway, I've got the germ, so I guess I'll... Ooze away and cultivate it or something....

Go onto 'The Leela Zone' (www.futurama-madhouse.com.ar) and download the AL1 font, then add it to a picture in a graphics program. You can do this with Paint Shop Pro and The Gimp, as far as I know.

Who mourned during 'Parasites Lost'? Who suffered during 'Time Keeps on Slippin''? Who couldn't stop weeping for a week after 'Leela's Homeworld'? Ok, so I'm a very sensitive person! I actually cried myself to sleep with happiness after 'Love & Rocket'! And don't get me started on 'The Sting'! What happened after 'The Farnsworth Parabox' anyway?

:laff: This certainly makes my fic(and possibly makes me feel like) shit.  :D I really loved it, Xanfor. Quite the idealistic Futurama trilogy-and-a-movie (which is four movies for those idiots out there)storyline! Here's hoping you'll write more, and send that little masterpiece (if you haven't already) into the Leela Zone (futurama-madhouse.com.ar)

Well, actually, I was just planning to make two more movies. I'm still working on the overall plot for the next two, although I have a few scenes storyboarded.      ;)

Here's a brief spoiler for movie #2 for those of you who are interested:

Please keep in mind this is just preliminary and the entire story may be turned upside down compared to this by the time it's done.

I may post this on the fanfic release thread.
