Hey people, After months of work, we've finally managed to finish the demo of "FryScape: Episode I" futurama adventure game. I'd like to thank anyone who is helping or helped the project and don't forget that we still have a long road ahead of us to finish the game. This demo is only the first room in the game without many things to do, just to give the feel of the game. Direct link: http://futuramagame.insanitysquared.dk/uploads/FryscapeDemoV1.0.zip Link to the Fryscape forum: http://futuramagame.insanitysquared.dk We would appriciate all your comments and if anyone wants to assist us, we always need help! Enjoy.

Re-upload the file. All I'm getting is an empty ZIP.

Ah, a sweet little demo Idan. The Fry animation looks great. I can't wait to hear my Future Guy on the finished version.

Originally posted by M0le: Idan, that reminds me. The 'team leader' of your project, 'Alexei', hasn't e-mailed me back about the voice work. Is he still the project leader and all later voice work should be sent to him or somebody else? I'll check out the demo when I get home, on a public computer at the moment. Well, Alexei is still the project leader, I just gave a last push to finish the demo since I know the most around the game's source. Alexei is currently not at home, and has problems with his home computer, so that is why you didn't get a reply up until now. You should contact him for anything.

If there is a possibility to try and fix the reason why some people can't run it, we'll need more than just "It doesn't work". When doesn't it work? does it give an error? some details, porfavor. (sp?)

Jankbot, follow these instructions exactly and it WILL work: 1. Click on the link below Direct Link: 2. Save it to the folder you want the game in 3. The download should begin. 4. After it is done, click on the winzip file you downloaded, and the Winzip screen should come up. If you don't have winzip, download it here: http://www.winzip.com/downwzeval.htm 5. Follow the instructions, and you should be able to unzip the file. 6. Click on the game icon in the folder you unzipped it to, and have fun!

Useless information: In the past 36 hours, the demo has been downloaded roughly 450 times, totalling about 7 GB of traffic to my poor, poor webserver. A bit more than what I had originally expected, I must say, but we really appreciate the interest.

Idan, how do I quit once I've started a game? I wasn't able to figure that out (not to say I really tried all that hard...). Also, you misspelled "chutzpah" in one of the quit lines. One more thing ... in the opening sequence, can you slow the Planet Express ship down for its flyby? I feel it goes a little too fast, and seems a bit rushed.
(edit): Well, it seems the menu bar at the top appears when I move the cursor up there ... it didn't do that before, as I recall. Also, there's music that I don't remember from the first time I played it. Strange. Finally, there should be an option from the game menu to exit to the main menu, instead of exiting altogether.
I don't want to sound like I'm nitpicking or anything, just making a few suggestions.

Zoidberg227, thank you for your feedback. That is exactly what we want. About Chutzpah, since this is a hebrew word, you can't really misspell it (just like there are several ways to write "music" in hebrew without misspelling it).
About the quit to menu, this is something that will defenitly be considered. There really is no reason to return to the menu after you've started the game, since everything but the credits is available from in-game (and that would be available on the full game). Will think about it, though.
There isn't one music track on the in-game part of the demo, but 2, both done by JBerges!
Last, the opening movie is a temporary one for the demo. The full game will feature a different, longer and much better movie.

knowsfords: In case you missed my reply at CGEF, I said this: "Wooh, someone noticed the music! If you want the music tracks so far, become a member on the game forums and request them. http://futuramagame.insanitysquared.dk I'll link you to the uploaded Mp3 files from there. While you're there, sign up to help make the game! Please? " And Welcome to PEEL. Stick around, it's fun!

Downloaded it yesterday, and I can safely say I enjoyed it. A few nitpicks though, mostly spelling: - You spelt 'suppository' wrong in one of Farnsworth's quit lines. - In one of Zapps quitting lines, there's no capital 'H' in 'How'. - In 'Why, of course!' for one of Farnsworth's lines, there's no space between them - There's no capital in 'Where' when Zoidberg says "Baloney? Where?? - No offence for whoever made the background for the main screen, but maybe you should go for something a little bit more...professional looking? Maybe one of 'The Voices' work? But overall, very cool.
