A while ago, I saw the ASCII art on CGEF, and thought it was really good. I stood up and said, "I'm going to try it." Three bottles of Mountain Dew and two days later, I was left with this.

"Okay." I thought. "It's not that bad."

I went on to make

Breakdancer Fry,
"Lobstertainment" Leela,
and one that I'm particularly proud of, "Kids".

All of them are done by hand.
I have more, but I'll post them later.

What do you think? All feedback is accepted and greatly appriciated.    :D

EDIT: If they're too big, you can paste them into notepad and make them the size you want.

I don't know what Mountain Dew is, but it seems to be some good stuff if it makes you a good ASCII artist  :D

Great artwork  :)
I'm impressed by people who are able to make pictures with 0s, 1s and other signs.  :)

Aww... Thanks!

Mountain Dew is a drink composed mainly of sugar and caffiene. If I need to get something done, and need all 25 hours of the day, I drink plenty of it.

@Daniela: Some gas stations sell it here, though I haven't tried it either. (A site dedicated to get Dew to Germany, it's a Pepsi-brand as far as I know)

Oh, another ASCII picture from Teenage Mutant Leela Hurdles.

This episode just aired yesterday here.

As posted in the General Fan-art thread:

After I do that, I go through each line and add in the characters I chose. I like to add lots of detail, so I go through AGAIN and add "shading". Last, I remove the guide slashes and fix all mistakes. I've never done one in color.

I takes a TON of patience and time.

EDIT: I also outline in letters/numbers/punctuation after I remove the slashes. I forgot to mention that...

Yeah! It takes anywhere from a day to a week, normally. It took me a week and a half to make the "kids" one.

EDIT: Ah, what the heck?

Yay!

This one looks much better at a smaller font size. Angelfire doesn't like me and makes all of my art much bigger.

@ TLI: Most of them take 3-7 days, with few taking less. The Zoidberg one, the Amy, Fry, and Bender kids one, and the one of Leela from Spanish Fry bump up the average to 8 days.   :)

Ya like JB, eh? Try this on for size:

It's Seymour!

(Notice that it has my name in it. I did that with a few of them, but I think it messes it up and is a bit of a distraction. I'm just too lazy to remove it.)

Also, I notice I haven't done one with just Amy:

The Tye-Dye on this one took Forever...

Well, just be glad English grammar is much more forgiving then other languages. You can re-arrange most sentences and still make sense.

And can you send TFH your Fry-related ones? They look great!
