Thanks for that information, DigiDragon. Now I have an idea about it. It does sound really good ... Since Shaucker started the thread I think she should as well start the RP/interactive story. Edited for spelling.

And I will, starting by setting up a plan of Mutant Town (the name from several fanfics, including Backround Noise, the first one in my head). I'll post the backround later today, right now I'm killing time before the SAT's start (yurg). Start putting characters together, and I hope everyone assumes I claim Turanga Munda

Hmmm, which one may I claim, if I'm allowed to do so... ? Maybe Leela Turanga herself? That would sound nice, but would also be very difficult, since Leela is one of the best known characters. That doesn't leaves much place for creativity and imagination. Also interesting would be a character like a long lost, older sister of Leela. Well, let's see what new inspirations the plan of Mutant Town will bring to us.

make up characters? oh-huh! yeah, of course. and if TLL doesn't volunteer to do piccies, then I will. Although I'm not nearly as good at portraits in MG-style.
I start, right? Lemme think,
Scene opens up in Mutant Town Hall.

So, 9 years learning English in school was not useless? - Yay! -I'm an American :P I'm ... *looks at her passport* ... my passport says I'm German, but that's just partly true ... Anyway, going on with the RP: "Scene opens up in Mutant Town Hall.".. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. It's a dark and shadowy hall in the centre of this small mutant village in the remaining ruins of old New York. People from the surface, down here known as "ugly normals", would call it a unfriendly place: Warm air - warm because ofburning trashcans -, smelling like garbage of any kind that is everywhere here. deep down under New New York. The mutants feel kind of good here. It's not a perfect life, but they have learned to accept and to enjoy their time under the surface - far away from being under the sun - as good as possible. Suddenly the main door of the fall opens with a loud sound. Every of the few dozends mutants in the hall is looking up to the entrance. A long shadow appears in the shine of the lights. A scared up pigobat - a mutated pet rat - flaps with its dark wings nervously, just to eventually leave the hall flying. Meanwhile the mysterious person - to who the long shadow belongs to - has entered the hall. It is wearing a long and dirty grey cloack and no mutant can see its face in the shadows of a hood. Some of the villages people shudder in fear. Eventually the strange person lifts the hood a bit, just to show a light greyish face dominated by one eye! It's the face of a woman, not far older than 30 years. The other two Cyclopses in the room, Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda look at each other in dis-believ. Strange Cyclops: "Don't you remember me? It's me ... your daughter! Kali!" Tears roll down her face.

The mutant crowd, now astonished at what has happened, parts mechanically. To them, it was believed that the Turangas had only one child-a daughter who they left to live on the surface. Morris and Munda were a very active couple in the community; the whole deal...visiting sick friends, tag sales, and having great Christmas parties. The surrounding citizens would never think they would disclose something like this: the whole town mourned the loss of Turanga Leela to the surface those years ago...
Turanga Munda (fighting tears) "Kali? But...you died! You died years ago! Who are you to appear over twenty years later, after we grieved for your death. Did we waste our tears for some....faking of your death?"
Munda is unable to continue, tears spilling from her one large eye. Morris holds her, whispering nothing, and yet everything. The town's citizens are dead silent-either from embarassment or emotion is unknown. The cyclops Kali stands there, unbroken by her mother's words. She has had an angry life, and it shows in her features...

Kali makes an angry face. Surprise, shock, maybe a bit happyness - that's what she did thought will await her, but not ... "this". The main door of the hall closes with a loud noise, hurting everyone's ears in the deadly silence. She lifts her hood completely. Everyone now can see her lightgreyish face. The dark-purple and short hair. One dark and round eye above a long small nose. Her lips are closed in bitterness.
(Turanga) Kali: "What... in the name of the ancient god Big Apple, what is going on here?"
She makes a pause to take a long and deep breath.
Kaki: "I was a child back then! A little girl! Not even 5 years old! Don't you know what that does mean - a girl grewing up without parents in the sub-sewers! Kidnapped by sub-sewer slave-sellers?"
She walks directly to her mother. Then, suddenly she stops. She looks at her mothers tentacle arms.
Kali looks at her own hands and everyone can see that one of those is a hand with 5 fingers, but the other one a tentacle. Around that tentacle is a bracelet. A bracelet with signs in Amphibionian language.
Surprised Kali has to sit down next to her parents. She has seen the bracelet Munda does wear at one of her tentacle-arms.
Kali: "I think we both were a bit ... wrong acting. Now, that I see that all the time you did remember me and ..."
Tears roll all over her face, while Munda backs away a bit. Kali holds her mothers tentacle-arm tenderly and looks at the bracelet. She reads the signs. - Then she backs away as well, even she stands up.
Kali: "Why does your bracelet say 'Leela'? Why ... oooh, I understand! I'm not neaded anymore."
Crying she runs out of the hall.

and I always went with the theory the bracelet said "Turanga"...hmm....

The assembled townspeople stared after the running cyclops, motionless. They slowly make way over to the Turangas. Raoul comforts them with his three arms, softly suggesting it was time to talk to Leela.

Whoa, a picture of my character?! Awww, I feel honoured And even it is just a paint picture, ... I really like it. Also it's nice to see that people like Kali that much to draw a pictures of her. Oh and yes ... you should really try to draw a "real one" soon. I've just finished my first complete picture of Kali. It needed two test-drawings and now there is a first final version. Still I have to work at details. Somehow I always have problems with the legs and feet. It looks a bit different to yours: Mainly the hairstyle (no ponytail), the cloack (is grey) and the "hands" (5-figer-hand on the left and tentacle on the right), but that's just what I had in mind and there is always a difference between the ideas of a creator and the imagination of someone reading the text. My drawing will be posted soon. Oh, by the way: I suggest to let FSAC host all "Mutant Town" related art. I could ask to create a folder at FSAC for the pictures and once even the story. Even it is a roleplay, we once could publish at as a kind of fan story. (Maybe after the first 10 or 20 pages.) Well, so far this idea.

Hah! Clool art and ideas. God, now I hafta follow this idea and do drawings too, don't I? Eh, all's fair . I was thinking of doing a "map" of the mutant world, stealing much from present day NY streets and subways. Cool idea about FSAC, I already have a gallery there, if that'll work too.

A Mutant village plan basing on old New York maps? That's a good idea! The mutant villages (I'm sure there are several of them under New New York) are basicly the remaining ruins of old New York. I think "Luck of the Fryish" does show that very good. The first episode as well. Is that the upper part of the Empire State Building lying in the streets of Old New York? I better have a look for a framegrab. So, if the mutants life in New York, then what happened with the former canalisation of old New York? The Mutants mentioned it as "sub sewers" and that's exactly were Kali grew up. Leela grew up at the surface, Kali in the subsewers. That's the main difference between the sisters.

@ Guinea: Continuing the story? Why not? In case I did understand the idea of RP, that means you have to choose an own character or - since there a not very much mutants known by name - create a new one. Then you'll write from the view of that character (as if you would be him or her). But I guess you know thatalready ... So far we have these (directly played) RP characters: Shaucker = Munda TheLesbianLeela = Kali For FSAC you may click here.

Yeah, I got the gist of things, thanks for the link, do you want me to rehost the other pic or what, and how do you host on FSAC? Also, my character, is going to be the sub mutant slavemaster guy (Nitsuj).
------------------------------
(A submutant climbs out of the giant toilet, runs over to crowd of mutants)
Sub-mutant: (voice creaky, low, like morbo, breathing heavily) Where is she?
The Turangas are dumb-founded, then finally, an unnamed mutant stands up and tells the sub-mutant to leave, Submutant easily picks up and throws the mutant.
sub-mutant: I am not the bad guy here, my name is Nitsuj, and... well, I guess I am the bag guy here oh well, let the havoc continue, as we have always longed for this land, and according to the god of our culture, Chappelle's Show season 1, we must take this land as soon as it is midnight on april 14. (the current date is April 7)
The mutants start to talk about breaking out of the sub-control and to get rid of the pests forever but they have no weapons. Nitsuj turns his back
Nitsuj: Farewell, for now mwhahahahaha

And another good writing artist has joined the team ... Allow me to correct a few things (as well as you can point at grammar and spelling errors done by me). Aren't the mutants still in the town hall? How does Nitsuy look like? A few more details maybe? Anyway, a good idea with Nitsuy. A Sub sewer mutants tribe atacking the sewers? Someone has to save the mutants? I think that does sound like a job for ... Green Lantern ... Captain Fist ... Cpt Turanga Leela! And FSAC? I think there should be an email somewhere at the page, where you can send fan art too. But please wait untill I've asked Paul to create a folder for "Mutant Town" art ... On the other hand, you could ask him as well ... (Paul is the webmaster there).

But lastly it is Nitsuj, which is Justin backwards, because justin is an, interesting friend of mine, from new york.

We all may can not compare us with mighty ones like for example Kryten (writing) or drawing (FemJesse), but we can only get better and better. Also I know how to notice if someone has talent. You can do a lot different art work. Important is just to try again and again to turn better and better. In other news: I'll ask Paul - as soon he is online again (tomorrow?). Oh, and you can always say "hi" in case I'm online at AIM. My AIM name is in my profile. *points at profile button under this posting*

... whoa ... Shaucker, that is great *hugs Shaucker* I don't know how you did do that, but ... uhm, can you read thoughts? - Kalis name in purple letters? My favourite colour! - the long dark cloack, the bitter face, the lonelyness (while she is sitting on the bank), etc ... - her hairstyle is very close to what I had in mind, while writing about her. With your hairstyle she even looks a bit more like (Lilly Taylor in the movie about) Valerie Solanas. - her clothes: brown pullover, jeans, brown shoes ... close to what I did draw: gold-brown pullover, jeans, green-blue boot-like shoes. - a knife? A very good idea! Also it makes very much sense, since she grew up in the sub-sewers. - the drawing ... with Leela and Kali ... awww... *hugs Shaucker*
