None of them loads for me. Then when I try to open them in new windows i get the same errors.

And Mercapto's looks like a red X.

I Guess I'll have to cast my vote later.

I too voted for El Zilcho. Clean lines, nice coloring and very good shading.

To everyone whom made a scan: Would it be alright If I uploaded your images to Farnsworth.tk ?

I think if you look very close,
you have to decide between JavieR and Mercapto,
and if you look even closer you can see that
JavieR's Pic is more detailled and near to the original, so you have to vote for him.
But the shadings of Nefnar and Mercapto also looked nice, and i also liked the other versions of El Zicho and SomeOne  :)

see ya

The Magnificent Bastard (AKA, El Zilcho).

The clouds in his really made it for me. Mercapto's had almost too much shading (I didn't think that was even possible), Javier's has not enough, and Nefnar's deviates too much color-wsief rom the fraemgrab.

I really like the comic book-type look of SomeOne's, and the extra-thick outline on the edge of the Prof, but the colors in Zilchy's just do it for me.  :)

Merky- Great bubble effect, the green glow on Farnsworth's arm, good general shading- sharp lines, etc.
Of course JavieR's has great detail, but the effects are the ones that tip the see-saw to Mercapto's advantage.

I voted Nefnar... I liked the intoxicating colors so much.... I was almost inclined to vote for El Zilchy, but his colors didn't drug me up enough.  The big problem with neffy's isn't that the lines are thick though, they seem pixely to me is the prob.

Awww...

Anyway, bullshit aside, i'm not giving a comprehensive thing of each scan this time, because it's late and i have to work tomorrow... bah!

Anyway i'll go with ElZ, he's the only one who did shading without making it look weird.

Is it just me, or is the Professor pregnant in that pic?

I vote JavieR. I was thinking of Mercapto but the excessive shading was too much. I like Some One as it looks quite like the comic strips (I think the thick line thing is what does it). Nefnar is a bit rough round the edges and him and el zilcho have this horibble black line inside the green tank that really spoils it for me.

Good work all round though mind, considering the biggest crime anyone did was one smallish black line  :p

Things in 2D can still be shaded. I didn't intend it to look 3D.

EDIT: So when does voting end around here? There should probably be a deadline since, unlike last time, there's no clear winner.

I'll give my critique of all these scans, much to the delight of all my lady fans:

El Zilcho: Well, I can't critique my own and be impartial at the same time.

JavieR: Well done. I enjoy how close it is to the real framegrab. There's some real talent in that picture, but it's a little hard to see through the jagged lines. That's the only real problem I have with it, and even then it's not a big deal. Valiant effort.

Mercapto: Wow. It's very good, and I really like the effects. It has a kind of 2D stacked in a 3D environment feel to it. The shading on the green tube is a little much (it's not supposed to be radioactive!), but otherwise, it's very very well done.

Nefnar: Tone it down a notch. Everything looks like cut up spheres matched up in the form of the framegrab. And while that's not neccesarily a bad thing, it looks pretty bad on stuff like flat levers. I will say that I love the effects on the tubes and the machine, but when you're dealing with clothing or flat objects, you probably should tone it down a little.

SomeOne: I'm surprised that you only got one vote. Your "comic book" stylization is very well done. I have no complaints about your scan, only that you had to be up against such rough competition. Great job.

And my vote goes to... me, because I just can't stay impartial for too long. I actually voted a while back, but I figured I'd make it public now.  :D

Yes, I feel very bad because of my over-devied colors and shadings.

Anyway. I made 2 scans. I think this one looks slightly better:

BTW, I would say the scan contest should end when one of the participants gets 20 votes.

If I haven't voted myself, I would've voted Mercapto, I like his thin smooth lines, and well done coloring, I like the color skin on the professor, and the shading also.

In general, well done, everybody!

15,15,13 ey? Tense... I really can't see it getting up to 20 votes, not in any reasonable amount of time anyway, i'd say cut it off at 15 votes, which would make Merc the winner. (It was 13,13,15 yesterday, with Merc in front)
But hey, i'm not the proprietor of this thread, you can make up your own minds i guess  :p
