I tried and tried again to learn how to scan, but being unable to find a good guide (for Photoshop 7!!!) I took my art into my own hands.

This first picture started off as a scan and then I went a bit more... abstract. Here I have left a slight white glow between the lines and the colour.

This second one is the... crazier version. I was just playing around with settings and stuff with my newly created 'thing' above.

Hmmm they are a bit blurry and of crap quality but my webspace doesn't allow hotlinking so I had to use cheap old villagephotos, so the file had to be small.

Well it's definately better then FemJesse's art.

The Leela background could've been done better by grabbing 3 squares x 3 squares in the top left, and then tell anyone downloading it to tile the image

I did a few scans in PEEL's downtime. The top one is my first ever, the lines are a bit thick, but it sorta suits the alien.      The last one (Fry) was made two times as big but it looked really wierd. But that's because Fry looks wierd in that grab. But it looks ok at this size.

Also, how do I eliminate the tiny gap between the colour and the line? I use Photoshop 7.

Good job, these look nice for first scans.  For the gap I just fill it in with the brush, try it. And if I can buy some time I'll try to avatarise 'em for you.

Now they are all showing up as red crosses for me...

This next one I did last night I want it to be on a white background, it looks better, sorry!

I've taken a liking to these scans without colour. I can't colour them properly anyway, but I like these better than my colour ones. I think I'll keep doing them. And Farnsworth is such a great character...

When I try there is a small gap between the line and the colour leaving a white line. And they seem to lose their style too.

I avoid the white edges by leaving the line drawing on a top layer and colouring the picture below by hand (i.e. not using fill). That way you can use any thickness in the lines to cover the edges of your hand filling and removes any chance of white lines.
