Hey everyone!  Just thought I'd put some of my stuff here once I get it online to see what people think.  Apparently, people like some of my work but not others.  That's okay because I try to run the gamut, style-wise.

Here is the link to my latest work.

Damn straight you're welcome, I love your style, gritty, harsh, that first pic, the coloured one "are you mad at me?" or whatever, brilliant, the more real, detailed interpretations of Fry and Leela are fantastic, more grit but stays true to the original look of the characters (Fry's hair is a great example of that, you captured it very well.)

I'd be especially interested in you continuing that style and maybe drawing the other characters of Futurama with it, bet I'd love your interpretations there, shit, I may not say this much in these threads but keep up the bloody good work.

Wow, I haven't even been on PEEL 24 hours, and I'm getting such positive feedback.
I can't find a host that will provide free hotlinking, so until my stuff is hosted at TLZ, there won't be much to see here.

Here's a collaborative I did with The Voices.  He drew and I colored.  We did a few of those, unfortunately they're down along with TLZ.

Alright new stuff... goodgood.

I thought Vertical Horizon would be perfect to describe them.

Big Jhonen Vasquez reference here:

Another Realistic one.  Dancing in a Venusian garden.  Mush.

I did another one, reminiscent of The Voices Inking style.  Its Leela and Fry against Kif and Amy playing water chicken.

The pictures doesn't show up for me (probably the slow server TLZ is at right now), but I's just like to say I love your art, FemJesse. It's unique all through, and have a great style. Your realistic drawings of Fry and Leela are probably the best I have ever seen (although Kif is freaky looking (in the good way)).

Love it! Great work! [insert additional superlatives here]

I figured Matt was going for stereotypical alien autopsy with Kif, so I did the same.  I imagine a five foot green alien made of bladders would be someone freaky looking.  I also decided to give Amy some face fat to make her baby cute.  That picture was done in my intellectual heritage notes.

I think I might do a realistic drawing of the crew sitting down to a meal at Elzar's.  Just got the urge to interpret Elzar realistically...  Emeril is a good reference point, anyway...

theres something wrong with the venusian garden one, it won't display past the top of Fry's head.

im also a fan. i really love the realistic pics, and i really like how you draw leela's hair.

edit: nevermind, the pic works now.

I guess it's mostly the dark eyes, make his smile look somewhat dubious. As you said the stereotypical Roswell alien, I like it.   :D

With Kif in mind, I kinda fear what Nibbler in your realistic style would look like. As Matt himself noted, if you look at it the individual parts are somewhat disgusting: one wideopen nostril, fangs, a free-standing eye-ball, etc.

You know I never thought of doing that to Nibbler until you said that... Maybe I can work him in something...

I'm not a Nibbler Hater, but I think Nibbler Haters are funny, so I'll appeal...

I waited until I got to work to check out these arts, and it was worth the wait, I love the "Fry The Homicidal Maniac" one.

Yet again, I have no artistic talent, so I'm in awe of everyone elses.

Excellent work.

You can take any picture you want for the Fry Hole, as long as you give me due credit for my work.  It would be good to have my pictures on another site in case TLZ ever got attacked for the last time.

I think everyone is going to enjoy the next realistic picture I'm working on.  I kept Bender the same as usual, though, because what's not to say he could really look like he does in the show.  Everyone's invited to Elzar's!!... (except Zoidberg so far, but I'll try to fit him in... its going to be a busy picture.)

Can't wait for the realistic Elzar's pic, Elzar in your style, bet he'll turn out bloody brilliant. Your Vasquez blew me away, fantastic work, think Vasquez has a damn good style myself and you really made it your own in that pic.

Just one question, you may have already said but I'm a fairly lazy goit, what progam do you use to colour you pics?

Wu, I use Photoshop to color all of my pics.
Most of them are drawn by hand in pencil, but some are done in illustrator, but I always use Photoshop 6.0 to color.
I made a model of the ship in Bryce 5.0, too, that I used in one of my pictures "Go take a Ship for Yourself".

Paul, I'll try to zip up as much as I can and email them to you, that's going to be one big file, though.  I've done about 60 finished pictures at this point. =D

Do them in multiple zip files please, makes it easier on my e-mail account, and makes updating more fun, as I can spread them over a course of days (and weeks  ;)).

I'm getting around to coloring a lot of the show-style pictures I did a long time ago.  I also did a few comic covers that I was thinking of releasing with my comics...  (Yes I did comics, but they were drawn so miserably that they are laughable by my current standards, and the story sucks)... so I don't know if I'll ever release them... (If I ever do, it will be the bits and pieces that I'm not ashamed of)

Otis:  Figure drawing is mandatory in the college I attend.  At first I hated it, but now I love it.  I draw kids at the park all the time.  It's definitely helped me in everything that I do... especially foreshortening arms and legs. =D

Aslate:  I tried to send you some, but the zips are way over the size limit for hotmail... there are about 65 pictures that I have done in the past year. They will be available online with multiple hosts soon. (Yippee!)

Coming Soon:
Full Monty Fry,
Me in bed with Fry (Bad, Jesse, Bad!)
Dinner at Elzars... and maybe a color version of it.
