I was hoping the bowling ball was a Big Lebowski reference, like the movie got really, really classic and the balls they used were eventually worth a lot. But that seems like a stretch.

^I was just about to point out the sled...Also, notice the Las Vegas sign. And in another piece of the pile you'll find Eddie van Halen's stripey guitar (though the stripes are all wrong). For a while I wondered if I'd have liked it better if it'd been the black/yellow one, but ended up deciding that's be total fucking sacrilege. 1. It was all in the same scene, I think

Yup. (How did Bender transport that exactly?) And in the picture above, with the mirror--the obelisk de Luxor behind the Sunflowers, at least I think that's what it is.

Bender clearly stole the Venus's mirror. In one scene he's polishing it off... in the next, it's gone. The movie clearly showed that Bender had the power to steal things from his masters even while he was under their control. Case solved.

Maybe you're all right... I just had some sort of scene playing in my mind, but I guess I'll have to go home and watch it again before going to bed, lest I lose sleep over it.Something I was wondering when I saw that first, though: Why does she hold a mirror at all? As far as I know, the left hand is believed to have held an apple (and the right hand was supposedly resting on the left thigh).

Regarding the first picture posted by Nix: the David is not the original, but a copy. The original David doesn't include a figleaf, but the copy in the V&A Museum in London does. Looks like Bender made a goof. [This message has been edited by Helpy McHelphelp Teral (edited 12-14-2007).]

I knew the original doesn't include a figleaf, but I assumed in this case it was there for, uh, censorial purposes. (Also, because the real David doesn't have four fingers and four toes, either).
